Is that possible. I want to buy GOG wallet funds as a gift for someone. Like a game, so that I can print the code, paste on a postcard, put in an envelope and send. Only instead of guessing what game he wants, I'd rather send him wallet funds so he can choose whatever he wants at the Christmas sale.

Is it possible? Can't find the option.

Pretty sure that's a "No".
If the person in question doesn't already have a GOG account, you could create a new account for them (ideally close to the date you intend to give it to them, so they can take advantage of the time-limited new-customer "welcome" deals), preload the wallet, then turn the account details over to them at the chosen time.
Not possible, but in my opinion buying someone Paysafecard (more than one code, if necessary) is the "closest" equivalent for gifting funds in wallet.

I would strongly advise you not to use the wallet feature. A change of country, messed up IP or something along those lines will wipe it. Happened to me recently, am abroad a lot and multiple currencies is not possible (suprise) on the site.

Since we all know how buggy GOG is, I think we should not be suprised about it. :-P

No. It's not possible. But there is a wishlist entry about it:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/being_able_to_add_wallet_funds_to_friends_as_a_gift

However, it would be much safer if you use Paypal or something similar to gift someone funds.

It will all be spent on Christmas sale.

He already has a GOG account and many games.

This is sad. You can easily buy giftcard/vouchers for Steam, just like Amazon and other stores. It's something easy to implement and one of those things that if added no one will complain about (OK, maybe some people will still complain).

Guess I'll have to buy some games then.

"Hi, new user here. I have redeemed my GOG giftcard, where the **** is my Steam key?"

I agree it would be a really great feature, though.

Problem is, this will turn it from "You know I like video games so you bought me this. How thoughtful!" into "He probably had no idea what to buy me so just got me a generic voucher. Eh..."

I'll have to go with games or buy a Steam voucher.

Well ok, just highlighting the issue. Me I would not trust them with my money. I would PayPal the money to him.

Yes, you're right. So probably best stick to HunchBluntley's solution. I think that's quite smart. You can already add all the free titles to the gift-account, then it will look even better! ;-)

Does he have a public wishlist you can select from? Or can you encourage this person to join Secret Santa or something so you can get an idea of his "most wanted"?
How about a nice paper that says: IOU games from GOG.com for a total value of £25. Then say something about last day to supply the list.

Thanks for the ideas.

I know what games he wants, the only issue was him not buying them himself before on the Christmas sale I gift them. However I learned that he won't be buying anything before Christmas, so I'm good.
