Check out the anniversary Supergiant Games promo with up to -80% off!

Supergiant Games are turning 10!

In celebration of these ten glorious years, you can grab Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre up to -80%, including the fantastic Original Soundtracks!

There are two reasons why Bastion (-80%) became one of the most explosive indie debuts in gaming: the Kid, and the Narrator. An unforgettable duo. Every move the Kid makes, the Narrator follows - step by step, word for word.

Transistor, the second game of the studio (now -80%) is an action-RPG that doesn't insult your intelligence. The story of a charming Jazz singer robbed of her voice acknowledges the subtle shades of grey in a good story. The game features a mix of real-time combat and turn-based planning, for a satisfying, tactical, and thoughtful challenge.

Pyre (-70%), the third game by Supergiant, is a party-based RPG in which you lead a band of exiles to freedom through ancient competitions spread across a vast, mystical purgatory.

The sale will last until August 29nd, 1 PM UTC.
Happy to support Supergiant Games for their 10th Anniversary!
Hoping for another great 10 from their company.

Hopefully all their future games find themselves on all the PC and console platforms.

Pyre and it's Soundtrack are at a New All-Time GoG Low (70% off vs. 60% off). The other titles in the sale match their GoG lows. The base titles Bastion and Transistor have not seen 80% off since 2016 but were 75% off earlier in the year.

Overall, it's a quality sale.
Grats on the 10 years, and thanks for the sale!
Sucks to hear about the Epic exclusivity. though. Hope to see Hades here ASAP :>
MP3 soundtracks make me sad. Especially Bastion's soundtrack, since a FLAC version of it was available on Humble Bundle. BUT ONLY ONCE, so you had better bought it in 2012, or get it on Bandcamp.

Supergiant are really good on Bandcamp, having bought albums from them on there you often get extended soundtrack versions as extras - Pyre for example has the acoustic album that you can get along with the main album.

Definitely recommend checking them out. I think the Hades soundtrack (singles) is also on there at the moment.

Are those their albums? Because that makes it so much worse. I always assumed the music was outsourced, and the artists insisted on selling their work only on bandcamp. If it's Supergiant's music, which they produced "in house", what's there to stop them selling the music anywhere? Why even sell substandard mp3 files, to the millions of customers who enjoyed their games? They could sell the games on gaming platforms, the music on music platforms, and there wouldn't be any complaints.

I hope you are wrong, because that would piss me off, at a developer I've always admired for the dedication they put in their games.

MadalinStroe: [snip]
Maybe I am cynical, but it sounds like a good way to get people to double-dip if they are not researching into this stuff. They inadvertently buy the mp3 soundtrack to support the game, then find out there is a FLAC version+ on bandcamp. So they are then tempted to buy that too, which is what they should've had on the game store in the first place. Not an endearing business practice.

MadalinStroe: ...
Yes, it is them that are selling these albums.
If you go on the page of one of their soundtracks on Bandcamp, you will see that on the right side of the page, they are advertising their company and their games.

I'm not definite if Supergiant receive the sales or if it goes to Darren Korb, since he's the artist but the bandcamp page is hosted by Supergiant Games.

As I have a cheap set of head phones, most FLAC quality would be lost on me so although I own the albums on both GOG and bandcamp, it has never irked me. In fact I'd prefer more video game albums be properly released so I can obtain them more easily eg Nintendo etc but that's another issue =)

I absolutely understand that it doesn't bother you, but here's the thing: my eyesight isn't what it used to be, and I guess it's downhill from here for me, but I'd still prefer to get high quality textures in games, even though I can't tell the difference. After all, I am paying for those games...

I also don't know about that, since Transistor's soundtrack is FLAC here on GOG, and I bought it a long time ago, but the rest...

Bandcamp takes a cut out of all purchases - 15% on digital downloads, 10% on physical merchandise - with the rest going to any respective artists/etc.

(Not to forget the inevitable Paypal transaction and credit card processor fees taken out of each purchase made through such methods)

Yeah, I'm aware of the standard charges that come with having your wares on there, I was more referencing the company page is in Supergiants name but the artist of the album is Darren (underneath album title). A similar holding account is used for the Materia Collective (for instance) and others on bandcamp. I assume they act as a form of publisher.

Regardless, a lot of my music purchases go through Bandcamp these days because of the variety (including game soundtracks) :)

Well, in that case, I could've posted this previously (I suppose I read deeper into your post than I should have) Darren Korb is part of Supergiant Games - https://www.supergiantgames.com/team/

Not a problem. I don't always articulate well on the internet =) or in person for that matter. But yeah, if Darren's part of Supergiant then it is pretty much going straight to Supergiant I wager.

All this talk on game music has inspired me to go listen to more! I can recommend the Warframe soundtrack, as a quality listen =)
