Got the Broken Sword 4 email, nothing for Broken Sword 1 yet, and its OST is still part of all other extras.
Looks like GOG's changing things in batches. Not a complain, as at least the OSTs were handled like all other DLC, and are not separate entries.

I'm assuming GOG's support team has to do this by hand, so it may take a bit of time for them to get the free codes added onto each account that owns these games. Personally, I got the "receipt" for BS4 already, but haven't seen one for BS1. I'll give them some time before I start getting worried.

Removing the OSTs to sell them sucks. I don't care if we still got them back for free, there is NO REASON for our original purchases to be altered like that. Not cool, Revolution Software.

hollunder: I wrote this to the support already and was directed here. I guess it does not hurt to say this again:
You should never ever make purchases for a user.
At the time of the "purchase" of the OST I was not even logged in.
I know it did not cost me anything and the way I pay you could not even bill me anything on your own but it still feels very very wrong when you read that you have made a purchase when you have not.
My reaction was roughly:
Was my account hacked? Unlikely, but what the hell is going on? Is there a news item about it? No. When was this purchase made? I was not even logged in then, I could not even have done it by accident. It is "free", so more likely GOG made that "purchase" for me for some reason.
Seriously, don't do that.
Yeah, this freaked me out especially since I received a crafted email telling me I was getting Witcher 3 GOTY edition free just the other day, making the plain receipt nature of this email seem really shady. You should never ever make purchases for a user.

KainKlarden: You do realize that the right owner can do pretty much whatever they want with the product they own sold on a platform like GOG, without any heads up until the "I want this removed yesterday", right?
P1na: I do. Which is why I said why that they wouldn't care. And no, polite speech is not caring. Not for me anyway. I'm just surprised that a user of GOG since 2012 can think that GOG doesn't care about stuff it does or things it has to do because of the legal reasons. -_-
MarkoH01: Wait a moment. The post you are quoting was assuming that GOG would remove content which was ALREADY BOUGHT by us, The assumption that this is the case was wrong here but it happened in the past and that would really be GOG's problem because nobody could force them to delete content which was already paid for (meaning the devs/composers/publishers also got their money).
Well, actually they can be forced to do so. I doubt Revolution software would do it. At least, they never acted that coldly. But legally, a rightholder can force the platform to remove something it owns even if it was paid for. It might not even provide a refund from it's own pocket leaving it to the platform to deal with the situation, if the rightholder chooses to do so. And about stuff that was "well it's part of the package but not the thing you're actually paying for" it's even simpler for them to justify the removal. I mean, to my knowledge it has not happened a single time on GOG (unless I'm forgetting something), but it could happen if the rightholder is super forceful with this stuff.

Where should the new download show up? As a separate entry in the "My Account" page? Or does it get attached to the game itself, as a DLC or something?

It should be listed below the other extras of the game. See MarkoH01 screenshot.Klumpen0815

MarkoH01: Taking something which has already been paid for is nothing more than stealing. I am NOT talking about removing something from the store here. Taking such things is as if the publisher would go into my room to take away the cd I paid for - without asking me. And yes, GOG did something like this (Dracula 4 OST i.E. before they added it back). GOG defended themseves saying that it was not really part of the package because it was given as a free bonus but they neglected the fact that it is in fact part of the package: Whenever there is a decision to buy something you weight what you get for the price. Including the soundtracks makes people pay more money as they would for only the game and so it is (implicit) part of the contract. People were angry when GOG removed stuff from their library and GOG promised not to do such things anymore.
In the end, it's all about trust and the influence of this trust whether to spend more or less money. There's a reason why I immediately make my own backups of everything I buy.
At the same time I'm happy about not having to deal with such publishers like GOG has to.
