Matewis: Apart from the dvd drive, mine has served me faithfully for over 2 years, and overall I'm pretty satisfied with it. The only thing that kind of bugs me is how the palm rest on either side of the track pad can get pretty hot after a while.
I had one a while ago. I went through a Vaio, an ASUS and settled on a Medion which has been a great piece of hardware.

ASUS motherboard melted, the vaio literally went on fire and this is machines I looked after haha.

It could be we had the "H" in Germany too. But I think they left the nun-chucks in.

It burned? Something tells me you use high performance gaming laptops :) I'd like for my next laptop to have a little bit more meat around the bones too, performance wise, so I'll try and remember the name 'Medion'

You would think so but I never ever did much gaming on them. They just decided to explode one day lol.

So far everyone I know have told me Medion are awful but of the four laptops iv had it feels better, works perfectly fine after 3 yrs and was the only one that has felt worth the money. Saying that for the Medion I went all out for a £700 laptop. Worth it though.
