The DRM-free initiative.

We've always been on a mission to offer you games with no DRM protection whatsoever. Today, we want to start taking things a step further, help out people who bought a retail game with DRM, then ended up stuck with something rather unplayable. We can help you enjoy your favorites once again, and this time around, enjoy them DRM-free!

There are countless retail games out there that don’t work for various reasons: unsupported types of DRM, system incompatibilities, broken features. There's too many too count. Starting today, owners of several retail titles originally sold with DRM can get a digital copy of their game completely free at GOG.com: with no DRM as always, compatible with modern operating systems, and with plenty of goodies to boot.
<span class="bold">Reclaim these games, DRM-FREE:</span>

Editions released worldwide:
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
-S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Editions released only in CIS & Russian territories:
-Mount & Blade: Warband
-Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword
-Eador: Genesis

To reclaim your game, just use one of the keys that came with your box. You can find more detailed information on the Reclaim your games, DRM-FREE! page to see if your key is compatible and just where to go from there.

This is just the start of something much bigger. We plan to add more titles to the list in the future - it's a long and complicated process that involves negotiating with multiple parties and a scavenger hunt to retrieve forgotten key-databases - but then, we are on a mission here, we'll do whatever it takes.

nice action ....

i dont think i have old games lying around that are drm loaded and need serial keys .

EA games that would be cool :

i do have lots of ea command and conquer :D, because of the wear and tear of cds i bought some extra retail games
years ago.

2 or 3 retails of redalert 2
2 or 3 retails of yuris revenge
command and conquer the 1st decade
command and conquer the dos game
tiberian sun
tib sun expansion
Great Stuff.
Im getting more and more impressed.
I cant redeem my steam key of CoP either. The regedit method for SHoC works fine, however.

jimrad1: Entered my steam key and it worked only for one title out of all those offered. Only problem is it also charged me 2.49 automatically. That is not cool.
GOG doesn't hold on to credit card info (so they say, at least and I see no reason to doubt that) so if you did get charged that would be rather weird. Did you actually get charged to your card or paypal, or did you get a email that said it cost 2.50.
Pretty sure the email is just a bug.
1 out of 3 Stalker Steam codes worked for me:(
COP and CS didn't work:(
CoP and SoC worked for me, Clear Sky didn't.

Does this mean the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games will be on GOG?
Converted my boxed copy to a GOG one. Thanks!

Thanks for this initiative. This is awesome. I am sure I have a copy of Shadow Of Chernobyl lying around here, somewhere <sighs>. Seriously awesome stuff guys. Hope to see the original Prince of Persia Trilogy on this list soon!
So for your Steam copies of
Stalker: Call of Pripyat & Stalker: Clear Sky - The keys can be found within the client. They work.

For Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl you need to install it, run the game once and then enter regedit.
Win32bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GSC Game World\STALKER-SHOC\InstallCDKEY
Win64bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GSC Game World\STALKER-SHOC\InstallCDKEY

I Pasted in S.T.A.L.K.E.R into the serach, but nothing came out, saw on another site they had all of them [quite cheap] but they were steam keys, would rather buy them all from here.

PS sort out your serach engine GOG :P

GOG also has the 2 F.E.A.R. games and, guess what? They also don't show up on the search engine. Same case with O.R.B. and Project I.G.I. 2.
