Sorry. I'll wait for another sale. Putting up with e-mail notifications instead of RSS isn't worth a discount on a game to me.

It's bad enough that I'm still trying to decide how to reconcile "I don't want to miss a good deal" with "This perpetual flash deals thing that I have to manually poll, rather than getting notified of is stressing me out".

kai2: I hate to say it...
... because it's a tiny dev putting a lot of hard work making a probably GREAT sequel...
That KotC2 review tho.. a dude is claiming the dev stole his work? :O
Free = La Dolce Vita, in The Eternal City, which we all, in effect, inhabit. ((;--))

mechmouse: And doesn't really say anything

How about some NEW games, as in new to GoG.
Agreed. GOG really need to make more of an effort to attract more titles from the big publishers.
Spring?

Brrr!
Surprised to see Witcher 2 still selling so well, after being given away a fair number of times in various ways and all the deep discounts it got. But it's not the only title that makes me look oddly at that bestsellers list. Witcher 3, HoMM3, Disco Elysium, CoMI, maybe also Deus Ex despite all the deep discounts, those would be expected, won't comment on CP2077, but Guacamelee 2 and World in Conflict also seem odd.

On another note, Pharaonic, a 2016 game, in the timeless classics list? You sure you didn't perhaps mean Pharaoh but had an autofill or something get carried away?

... but...

$59.84 USD for Knights of the Chalice 2 - Archmage Edition!?!

Is this upside-down day?
The whole point of 'indie' games means that their price reflects the 'indie' status....this game certainly dosn't do that and reminds me of the saying cocaine is a hell of a drug or WTF were they smoking when they set the price.
Doom 3 + RoE original, Quake Remaster :P, Doom 64

wolfsite: Some new games for GOG from Bethesda, Ubisoft, EA would make the sale even better.

Like the Bethesda Terminator games, Far Cry 3, Mass Effect and Dead Space 2.

So many more games that they could release.
If info like this is real (or this), I wouldn't be surprised if we're in for a rough patch for some time, in regards to big-name games (perhaps even older ones) appearing here. unfortunately.

Maybe if CDP rebuilds their reputation with Witcher 4.

phaolo: That KotC2 review tho.. a dude is claiming the dev stole his work? :O
From reading through the information, the dev claiming his assets were stolen has a history of purchasing publicly available assets, cobbling them into basic games, putting them on sale, and then claiming his work was "stolen" when another person releases a game using that same publicly available asset pack.

So, I'd take this stuff with a grain of salt. But that KoTC2 price point... Yikes! Anyway, it's Pierre's game... but... that price is going to keep a lot of players / customers from playing / buying anytime soon. Too bad.

I think he's right .

Rather than the general store, I think a more telling part is the market stall in the top left corner of the KotC picture.

You can see that exact market in soul of war
http://soulofwar.epizy.com/img/gallery-dragonic-game-screenshot-1.jpg

Compelling? Not really.

Pioneer Valley Games sells the exact same market as an asset to use in games

I agree that that KotC is overpriced. But purchasing assets from the same source doesn't count as plagiarism
I'm guessing the reason GOG waits is to have a better ability to evaluate the quality of the game since it isn't an "anything goes" store like most of the rest (even with the newer relaxed standards I doubt they are selling anything anyone offers). That, refunds, and DRM-free all can annoy developers but make for a better store IMO.

I can imagine GOG would get an additional boost if CP2077 did better, but it still gets some boost as is so it hardly seems more likely to be sold now than previously (of course, it is always a possibility) and it may still get some additional releases due to some additional people buying games here.

Cavalary: Guacamelee 2 and World in Conflict also seem odd.
There was a really good flash deal on Guacamelee 2 ($3.33) so it made the bestsellers at that price, not the current price. Looks like World in Conflict is a WWIII thing and even less expensive so I guess that is why people are buying it.

Cavalary: You sure you didn't perhaps mean Pharaoh but had an autofill or something get carried away?
Good catch :). I see there is also Hero-U instead of Quest for Glory so maybe they started with a more classic list and wanted to feature more publishers or less Activision.

Also, hopefully I'm not messing them up too much by saying this (I don't think all that many people read these threads or would care if they did) but I got the new style promos for the "Timeless Classics" and "RPG Collection", although still the old style for the others, and noticed there is a "promo_ab" cookie under www.gog.com that is set to "new" now or "old" for the old style. It can be easily changed with the quick cookie manager firefox addon. It expires very quickly so I'm not sure if it might need to be locked in some cases to keep it set a particular way. In Firefox this can be changed in a container to not affect your main login by right clicking the tab or link, select "open in new container tab" and then in quick cookie manager change "contexts" to that container.

My feedback on the new style (most also applies to the catalog): the top graphic is too large (but a side graphic like the partner pages would be nice), the floating header is annoying, I'm also not fond of the sticky options on the left (just let it scroll off the screen), and listing only 48 on a page is too little, please add at least an option to list 99 or 198 on a page. I appreciate the sorting and hide DLC options.

DD & Ji Ji: I think he's right .
Ah no, it seems they both just used the same bought assets.
Also, people pointed me to these Steam and RPGcodex threads and the dev "kiefrd20" seems kinda untrustworthy and bonkers:
