In fact, many gamers love the original Baldur's Gate series and Icewind Dale more.
Enhanced Edition is not better for them.

And, full version of Maniac Mansion is embeded as a mini game in Day of the Tentacle.
In order to get an accurate title it would have to be pretty long, so I'll let it slide this time.

Question: does the Bard's Tale include the original trilogy as separate installers or does the trilogy come as a bonus inside the newer game?

They're just DX9 and DX11 versions, it's the same game.

If you buy DIVINITY: ORIGINAL SIN - ENHANCED EDITION COLLECTOR'S EDITION, you will get:
- Divine Divinity
- Beyond Divinity
- bonus code for a copy of Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition on GOG

EDIT: Also you can get the original Thief for free if you buy Thief Gold, although it needs a bit of tweaking in order to play it.

(Okay, it's perhaps a stretch, but SS2 does have an in-game "gameboy" <GamePig™> with "cartridges" [if you find them] for the above games, all playable. )
The original System Shock also has simple little games that you can play on your HUD (after acquiring the game software in-game, of course).
