Tarm: So yeah I want a game as a chooseable Galaxy feature. Thus I wanted it in the Galaxy wishlist.
JMich: Why? Games should not be part of a client, since that means the games cannot run without the client. And we would not be talking about "Cannot access part of the game without the client" here, but "Cannot access the game without the client", which would be a huge problem with many of the customers, and for good reason.
So for me, the wish is at the correct part of the wishlist.
P.S. What exactly is the game's subkind? Because MMOs are at least a decade older than this one, though exact age does depend on the subgenre.
Going by GOG I'd like it as both free from the client and a easy to click feature of it. The best of both worlds. Galaxy is intended to be a social feature so taking that a step further and integrating a game into it is not that a far fetched idea.
Honestly I'm bad at subgenres. I'd name it as a Massive Multiplayer Online Arcade Game. You steer a space ship much like you do in Asteroids. There are various ships with different abilities and other variables like speed and turning speed.
Though the games strength migth be its moddability. There are mods that have you fight the Star Wars Death Star battle or fighting in World War 1 trenches. Many gamers never even played the stock game.
