Vermithrius: Thankfully if you're lucky enough to have a physical copy and an actual optical drive, it'll run on Win 10/11 with only minor tweaks. I made a hard mistake getting the remaster, and refunded it about as fast as my fingers could click and type.
I'm severely skeptical now on anything "remaster" and these guys in the same breath.
I'm not that lucky haha, though im happy for the people that have their physical copies.
In the near future, where everything is digital, the original won't be lost forever, like many companies are proceding to do nowadays with their hunt on killing originals for half-baked "remakes" with modern price.
idbeholdME: Because Reforged exists. Don't expect the original WC 3 to appear anywhere ever, same with stuff like Age of Empires for example.
I'm lucky to have a physical copy, with the rare czech voice over to boot (not officially available through Blizzard).
Also have the Blizzard Anthology, containing Diablo 1, Starcraft and Warcraft 2 and even a Diablo 2 box (4 CDs). So I'm all set with all the relevant Blizzard oldies. Well, besides Warcraft 1 I guess.
Warcraft 2 refuses to get a reasonable discount on GOG, so not sure if I'll be getting a backup copy before the remaster likely nukes/merges it along with another price bump.
You're lucky indeed! Such a rare collection of copies/releases too. Nice!
Games that are not sold anywhere I consider to be abandonware so game preservation is a must.

But allow me to rename this 'category' to "killedware" nowadays, because, as explained above and we know, companies are in a hunt to kill originals in favour of half-baked "remakes" for 30~60$ USD, which is absurd.
