Breja: Or, you know, some people may just not give a rat's ass about WOW, now or ever. Crazy theory, I know. Downright X-Files territory.

Elmofongo: Go raid in Molten Core, Black Temple, and Icecrown Citadel.
I literally have no idea what any of that meant. Was it supposed to be a joke? An insult? A threat? The world may never know!

You appear to have trouble understanding, that people may simply not care about WoW. Not think it's bad, or feel alienated because of later expansions... they just don't care about WoW. And if you think it takes "living under a rock" to not have heard about some stuff witha private WoW server- I hate to burts your bubble, but most of the world, even most of gamers worldwide are living under this rock.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: ...

Blizzard must be becoming desperate. Free expansion upgrades and free character max level boosts? How come this old fart is still alive? (wow, new type of beggar, the beggar who bribes you!!!)

...
Of course, following the path of every other MMO on the decline., They will have people willing to pay a monthly sub for years to come. Only when the cost of power outweighs whats coming in will they kill it, and rightly so.

I am curious to see how Outland, outsource, outlast or whatever the hell it is, will do. The blatant use of anime to up the asian market appeal kills me. I miss the RTS days when blizzard was, in fact, PC gaming. I am going to go cry in my WC2 soup.

snowkatt: not everybody follows or cares about wow
so there must be a lot of people living under a rock then eh ?

Elmofongo: My goodness the Cataclysm expansion, Diablo 3, and Starcraft 2 really alinated many PC gamers from Blizzard stuff did it not?

I remember a time when Blizzard WAS PC gaming at one point.
that seems to imply that i ever cared about blizzard games
i do not

and while i can only speak for myself
i very much doubt i am alone in not giving a toss about blizzard's output

Have you played Starcraft 1?

Warcraft 3?

Yes. Though I never finished Starcraft or D2. And I never gave a flying fuck about WoW. I only picked it up because my friends were playing it and they talked me into it. And I found it shallow, boring and repetative and quickly dropped it altogether.

Elmofongo: For those who have lived under a rock long story short:
I know WoW players are said to live under a rock. So this claim has me confused. xP

I too was alienated by the gameplay of RTSes but managed to pull through.

I played Dawn of War and Medieval 2.

its not the game play
i am just not very strategically minded

my "tactic"is to create as many troops as possible then rush the enemy casualties be damned

same here in C&C build as many tanks as possible, also 3 or 4 harvesters. and attack.
