I bought the game because I always felt intriqued a about the idea of a silhuet themed fighting game. But when I start it, it does a feeble attempt at going fullscreen, then switches to windowed. Pressing Alt-Enter just make the game close down.

It's a long time since I played around with DOS box. Does anyone know how to go about it?

Have you tried playing it in Dosbox Staging?

The Dosbox that ships with most DOS games sold by GOG is very old and may not support your system very well.
