catpower1980: So, this morning, I saw in the trending youtube videos the teaser of Blade Runner 2049 which I wasn't aware of.
First things first, the teaser (no spoilers):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=haXvp8M9Cog Starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford and directed by Denis Villeneuve(his precedent movie was "Arrival").
Thus are you waiting for it impatiently, do you think it's an heresy to make a sequel or you don't care because new movies suck anyway?
That's real new to me...
I won't expect too much. The original is one of my favourite movies of all time (regardless of version). Hard to compete with that. But who nows? Maybe it'll be surprisingly good, maybe it'll be shit.
Gerin: Seems to me that Harrison Ford being in it destroys the theory that Deckard was a replicant. If he were, why is he still around?
I think there are strong hints that there are replicants that don't have that "timer" (something Eldon Tyrell says about Rachel?).
On the other hand replicants are a bit like clones, no? So it could be another Deckard (although Mr Ford is a little bit old for that ;-))
chibi23: It's been a while since I saw the movie, but as far as I remember there was never any question that he is a human.
Um... the original hinted very strongly that Deckard was a replicant, the DC made it quite clear (unicorn/fabricated memories).
