legopig: I preferred Brian Maiden when Di'Anno was singer. Don't get me wrong, Bruce has a hell of a voice, but nothing beats the original.
Brian Maiden?

Elmofongo: Faith no more is a bunch of alternative grundge hipster emo faggotry :P

ReynardFox: Them's fightin' words. :p

Faith no More in concert in 1997 was amazing.
I have to agree with Elmofongo. They're nothing but a bunch of trendy know it alls. Mike Patton does nothing but squander his fantastic voice.

Maxvorstadt: Brian Maiden?
A running joke to myself about my childhood. I don't expect anyone here to know what I am on about.

Has it something to do with "The life of Brian"?

While we are at it, can we put Tiger Tailz and Def Leppard in the mix?
I prefer original Maiden also, and Def Leppard. Well you can't talk british heavy metal without them. Criminally underrated band.

And Glam Metal, to quote Dave Mustain of Megadeth:

"Glam Metal is like fleas on the camel's balls"

"Thrash Metal is a flea bong"

Hmm, Def Leppard is more some kind of Hard Rock.
I like best the Maidens of the 80s. With "Air Raid Siren" Bruce Dickinson!

Some kind of hard rock? They were one of the bigger NWOBHM band's along with Iron Maiden and Saxon.

They were exactly the same as every other british heavy metal band at the time. Sure their sound evolved into a little bit more commercial but let me tell you, they are much heavier live than Megadeth and Iron Maiden.

Ah yeah, the guitar player of the Chilis is called Flea, right? Or was it the bass player?

In the 80s I heard that the bass player of Level 42 to was considered to be the best bass player in the world.
Oh, and I like to mention that my father was also a bass player back in the days!

Hey I wouldn't be surprised. Those band's (even if they're not my cup of tea) were usually full of quite respectable musicians.
