Well suppose my proudest moment was finishing Wizardy 7 last dungeon and also whole game after keeping old saves for 10 years on floppy disk waiting for right mood to finish it :).
My proudest gaming moment was beating the crap out of SHODAN in System Shock back in 1994, floppy disk version, with a 486DX 33Mhz with MS-DOS, no hints or cheat codes, with THAT interface. It felt like I was playing a chess game with a cyber ninja Deep Blue fracking AI, and somehow I've managed to MacGyver every one of SHODAN's plans.

"Look at you SHODAN, who's the insect now, when I pull your plug?".

Thank you, Looking Glass! (ノ_ _ )ノ
When I was a kid I managed to navigate Dungeon Master without making any maps, I even made it to the end, defeated the dragon and then Chaos. Also I didn't understand any clues written on the walls, so I had to figure it out somehow by myself. To this day I remember the layout of at least like 5 floors of the dungeon lol :D. Also I had to figure out spells and whatnot, remember where mushrooms respawn and a lot of other stuff.

Also, later I somehow managed to get a 600000+ combo in a single trick chain in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and I never managed to get that ever again :D

And yeah, flexing on other hospitals with 0 dead patients in Theme Hospital :D

Defeating Kangaxx.

The most arduous and longest battle I ever fought.
My proudest gaming moment was when I introduced my brother to gears of war and my brother and I played through the entire gears of war story line and had great amounts of fun shredding through the locust, enjoying each game and overall it was great seeing how much he enjoyed himself which made me happy but the best part of it was spending time with my amazing brother.
My proudest moment was when I walked into the Arcades, hearing the sounds and atmosphere of being in an Arcade. Discovering games like Gauntlet 1 & 2, Space Ace, Dragon's Lair, Robocop, Star Wars Vector Graphics, Darius - Three screen display, Street Fighter II, Assault, Pac-Man, Afterburner, Operation Wolf with the Uzi mount, Temple of Doom and Shadow Warriors etc... It was a time of imagination, a time of discovery, a place which I felt couldn't be imitated. Then later, seeing computers and consoles try to replicate this feeling in the household for all the old and new gamers in the world.
My proudest moment in gaming the one that comes to mind was beating the ME 1-3 on the highest difficulty partically ME 2 for Saving all Crewmembers and Normandy Staff without knowing the correct choices to make on suicide mission just making a calculeted guess on what teammates would be the best for the situation and having gone straight for it after compeltioning Legion Loyalty mission since he was the only one I had yet to do it with then heading straight suicide mission as I had done most of the sidequests done.

Just to note this was on ME2 Original not remastered quite a few years ago on a first playthrough, Also I did not have the DLC Content/Characters either so not technicial all Crewmembers possible but got the achievement for it none the less.

This was around 2016 so the games were not were not quite new but I had an urge to play through the trilogy after I played decent amount of the 3rd game at a friends house.

klatch: My proudest gaming moment was beating La-Mulana without a walkthrough.
For real? Well, sir, you have my deepest respect. I found it outright impossible to do on my own, sometimes it was hard even with a walkthrough!
My proudest moment in gaming was setting up GNU/Linux with wine and dxvk to play windows games. Game wise; it was finishing Witcher 3 on death march.

For me, one of my proudest moments was finishing every Quest for Glory (1-5) with full stts and score, with every type of class (including the "hidden" Paladin class). This at a time when there were no walkthroughs. It was both challenging and a ton of fun, progressing each char to import into the next.

Those were the golden years of Sierra, and that series in particular will always hold a special place for me (as well as some of its jokes and puns).
Finishing Max Payne without the use of any cheats, which really isn't how shooters usually go for me.
Back then, when I'm still a young kid, my big brother bought Castlevania Chronicles, a PS1 game. I'm not really sure if we are just suck at it, or that game really is that hard, but I remember that we can never getting past stage 3 (or maybe 4 ? Not sure since it's a long time ago). Frustrated by it, we drop the game. A few months later, I don't know why but suddenly I feel the urge to really beat the game. I remember finally beating that stage after countless trying. After so many video game dead on the stages that followed, I finally somehow manage to defeat the final boss. At that time, when I realize that I finally done it, It really feels like I have done something so impossible, it feels unreal. For several days I feels like nothing can ever beat me. Silly kid thoughts, really.

Looking back, I don't think it's really that great of gaming achievement. I just beat the game, that's all. I'm sure someone somewhere have beaten the game without even taking a single hit, and if that's really true, you are awesome !!! But I'm still satisfied. This also the first time I ever beat a game to the end, that's why the feeling of satisfaction of finally doing it is really huge for me. I have playing and beaten many games after this, but this one stands out the most in my memory. No matter what anyone think, personally, this is my proudest gaming moment in my memory.
It's hard to pinpoint my proudest moment. Part of me just reverts to thinking about all the epic power plays I've made in competitive FPS games, but in reality it's not really that interesting to remember the one time I won a 1v5 or something like that. It's also not that special as good players do it all the time. Or maybe it was the first Epic item I got in WoW back in 2008. Getting a purple was such a big deal back then and it was cool that a casual PvP player like me was able to get into a raid group and acquire high end gear. Actually I think my proudest moments happened during the time I got to spend with the Quake Live community when it was still free to play. It was genuinely a great community with a lot of people that just loved playing AFPS. I was really bad at the game but there was little to no toxicity. There was a clan (I think named Rocky or something like that) which used to make the best custom servers with funny rules for people to play on. Getting invited to play on those made me extremely happy during a time in which I was at a very low point in life.

These days, I mostly take pride from learning how to appreciate new genres. It took me almost 10 years to get a full playthrough of Amnesia TDD. It was just too scary the first time but I finally went through start to finish last year. Since then I've really come to appreciate the horror genre and went on to play quite a few more. I also had to play Soma with monsters turned off the first time, but I've recently done another playthrough will monsters on. Totally worth it.

I also learned just how fulfilling it is to immerse myself in a good immersive fiction game like Red Strings Club games or non-combat exploration game such as Eastshade. Visual novels are also surprisingly immersive, though it can be really hard to find a good one. The Angela He games are a good starting point and I want to try the Sir Brante VN soon. I plan to try to get into a journaling game soon and see how it is. Rhythm games are another genre that I ignored for so long but OSU! is a permanent install on my PC now.

There's just so many good genres that don't get much love and can be really hard to get into due to them only existing in "indie" sections that are often filled with really bad or unfinished projects. RTS and fighting games remain elusive genres and I don't know if I'll ever figure out how to enjoy them.

My proudest gaming moment was beating a Deathclaw 1v1 with a pistol in Fallout New Vegas!
Finally beating Ornstein and Smaug solo in Dark Souls after countless attempts. Enormous relief and tremendous pride!
