IAmSinistar: I'd be really curious as to what the hell they meant with that piece of advice. Should you pass the code to someone else and they download the game and burn it to disc for you? Even then, how is that a solution going forward, with patches and such? Boggles the mind.
Hmm, I suspect(?) they may have been suggesting that he provide his account login credentials to a friend outside of China, to log on and add the gift key to the account. Would have to really, really trust that friend though, and would recommend a password change afterwards in any case.

Perhaps they want him to have someone else to log in and add the game to his account from another country.

I see, that does make a bit more sense. Though there is still a bit of hazard I suppose, depending on whom you entrust the account to. And one's friend could also download whatever they want while in the account. So it really is a trust exercise.

o_o , the support isn't able to add an item to your account and add some credits stores as refund ? -> that would be the most logical thing to do, since you can't redeem a code where you are .

what's the support doing , really .... :|

giving as advice to ask to a friend to do it is a no-go to a security point of view.

IAmSinistar: I received prompt attention during the sale, with the credits coming within 24 hours in both cases. The first request was conversions to gift codes, and the second returns for store credit.
I decided to send them another support ticket, this time asking for a refund. Got a reply and $3 store credit within the hour.

10/10, A++++++++++++++++, would refund again!!!!!!!!!! ;)

GOG was nice and gave me refunds last time I bought mystery games and got a bunch of dupes. Think I'll save myself the trouble this time around and pass, as much as I enjoy gambling.
