BrokenBull: I think GOG should prioritize games that are in your wish-list when they have a mystery game sale rather than giving you anything at random which will lead to something that you already own or not interested in. Does anyone agree?

mrkgnao: Wouldn't really work, I believe, as it is too easy to exploit. Before buying a mystery game, one could simply empty one's wishlist and leave only one game from the mystery list to more-or-less guarantee the identity of the mystery game.

And it's not entirely at random, they do prioritise games that you do not own (on GOG).
Good point, but maybe they(GOG) could create a requirement such as having at least 10 games or more in one's wish-list to be able to participate in the Mystery Game sale. I think they could create some rules to avoid the exploitation. My point is that it would be better to arrange a Mystery Game sale by selling you something you want.
I understand that the Mystery game sale prioritizes games they you don't own, but you can still get something that you don't want.

Bought 6 mystery games and I'm utterly disappointed :')
The first one I did several days ago was great but the rests didn't live up to my expectations.

But you can buy titles as "gift" at purchase screen, and then simply take the titles which you like and trade the rest in trading forum...

Or you can just redeem them into your account anyway so you can brag about your huge collection of games. And give away the ones you already have like

code drops make scammers happy and plenty

Much better to give them to Giveaway leader, make a quick riddle at Ninja Giveaway thread or simply ask members to contact you if interested.

If you buy games as a "gift", it doesn't take your owned games into account, so it increases the chance of your getting a game you already own.
