HunchBluntley: Well, you can always ask Support to either give you a refund, or convert your unwanted games into gift codes which you can then trade for other people's unwanted adventure games in the appropriate forums threads. : )
Can you actually do that? I figured I played the lottery and lost.

Yep, as long as you haven't already downloaded anything from an unwanted game, and it's less than 30 days from the purchase date, you should be able to get a refund or get the game converted into a gift code with ease. It might take a day or three, though (probably not, but it might), as Support is usually pretty busy during and just after big sales. Never tried it myself, but then, I don't gamble. =)
I feel a lot less happy with my Breach & Clear mystery game now that it popped up in this weeks humble weekly $1 tier together with 2 more games and some coupons
Based on current revealed games, I think I should not try mystery games gamble. Or it's better to wait for the last day. Except Shadowrun Returns, the other titles don't attract me to enter for them.
This whole mystery game thing would be much less frustrating if it was cheaper.

GOG should make it $1 for a mystery game worth $5.99 - $9.99.

revanbh: I got Evil Genius. Not a bad catch, all things considered. I've been looking to buy it for ages but always bought something else.

expopower: That game is awesome! I spent so much time with the game after I bought it. I love the main theme, too. =D
Yeah. I used to have CD version of this game. Awesome atmosphere in the vein of 1960s spy thrillers popularized by Austin Powers in the late 1990s. I always enjoyed interrogating prisoners in various appliances. :)

If only NOLF series would come to GOG...

Gods Will Be Watching and Titan Souls are interesting in that their "Special Editions" are not advertised.
Super disappointed, got Cities in Motion and Long Live the Queen.

Klumpen0815: Why does this sound so dirty?
Because Dirty Harry.

ExiL0n: Is there a thread for mystery games trading (like the one we had for pinatas)?
My first gamble got me Stronghold Crusader, and I can't stand strategy titles!
The second brought me Lilly Looking Through, that I already bought on Fall sale; luckily I had Apotheon with the third, and it seems nice.
If you want to trade Lilly Looking Through I got Jade Empire Special Edition (Which I bought like 6 years ago, ugh), Chronicles of Riddick and System Shock 2.

Put it up on the GOG trade thread then. Hopefully you should be able to trade it for a mystery game you need. Personally I'm looking to trade for Breach & Clear.

Klumpen0815: Hopefully there'll be a Linux version of "Waking Mars" here someday that is more stable than the one from HumbleB.
Ouch, that sucks. I never had any trouble with my copy of Waking Mars from Humble, though.

hyperagathon: Even though it might take a while for them to reply (a long while, I think I've read they fired a bunch of people recently), you should report broken games to Humble support. They're fairly helpful once you finally get their attention.
Of course, I wasn't saying Humble's customer support is bad. My experience with them has always been quite good. But goddamn, over time it's become obvious to me they just upload what the devs send them without even looking at it (at least when it comes to Linux builds).
Perhaps the most egregious example is with Android games: they can be downloaded and installed with Humble's own Android app, provided the games are uploaded as a bare .apk file. Well then, there have been several cases recently where the dev sent them a game in a zipfile and they just uploaded it as is, without bothering to unzip it. Needless to say, the Humble app didn't recognize those games as valid Android apps, but it only did after downloading them. *Sigh...*

Thanks for the kind reply, I have not the code anymore, though. Thanks anyway!

Thanks for the tip. i found someone to trade, but then the key turned out to be used?! thanks gog. made a support ticket. like it wasn't annoying enough that the game was stuck as a mystery game originally, now it turns out to be a used key.

Yours, you mean? I assume you checked it before trading? In that case, if it wasn't used then, it probably stayed locked because you didn't hit cancel (or it may be temporarily locked even if you do?). So did you hit cancel and then give it a bit of time?

no i don't think i checked it. there was no reason to. it even shows as 'not yet redeemed' in my orders list. it's not the same as the temporary lock though.
