I don't think AMD are in "big big trouble." Because they know full-well that their GPUs are crap and almost no one buys them and it's been that way for many years already so it is to be expected.

Plus, they have exclusive deals to put their crappy GPUs in the next generation of consoles, so they are going to make vast amounts of money from that, despite the fact that their GPUs are way inferior to NVIDIA's. So what do AMD care if they make bad GPU products. They are still laughing all the way to the bank.

Oh I see we only need 4 FHD monitors and we can enjoy the future of gaming totally next gen.
Or a split screen cooperative game everybody could have a monitor fully ,so awesome.
New generation of graphics cards from Nvidia today, new something (I think processors AND graphics solutions) from Intel tomorrow. Will AMD have something for us on the third?

There are some limited cases where 8k makes a lot of sense, outside gaming.

AMD cerrtainly in a bit tighter spot now but they can decrease the prices and hold out until their next release.

Those prices seem too good to be true. I bet this will be like that time (every time) we thought prices would go down on GPUs whereas they increased due to some weird component shortage in Asia, under-supply from manufacturers and huge demand.

Still waiting on AMD, the under dog. I love a good under dog.

Yes ,we need the competition, or nvidia just sells the same gpus each year.
a 3090.... not in a lifetime i guess, the 3070 will probably be the card to look at .... at least in my price range.. even with a job..... tomorrow i'll be offering my salary indication.... might as well wait for intel btw and see what they will cook up, if nvidia wants to even up the playing field they should start with manufacturing their own cpu's!
3070 at $499, and if true that is as 2080 ti which was at $1200, first reviews will be there to show us the truth, but if yes then that is going to be a very nice GPU to have.
I thought to wait for previous rtx cards, for price to drop down, but this is really tempting now.

Sure, I'm also curios what kind of response we will get from AMD.
