Looks like they're making a client and launcher like Staem and Orgyne and UPay. What do you think? They may be bringing back paid mods through this as well, especially when valve can be denied a cut. It'd be great to compete with steam workshop, even if it is paid.

From bad to worse. I do not already have a reason to waste my time on their steam-exclusives but that would be double no reason.

Unless they magically would not require any kind of online connection anymore after that move for their retail releases.
I really hate this new trend, where every developer has a platform. However, I'm very interested in Legends: The Elder Scrolls, so I'll probably use it for that.
Ignore it. Unless dishonored 2 is exclusive to it, in which I case I'll have to reconsider if I'll briefly install it for the couple weeks I'll spend playing it before I uninstall and go back to ignoring.
high rated
Can't say I care much about it one way or the other. I won't buy anything with DRM, so if they move from Steam to their own platform (or take the Uplay route where Steam copies require their new platform) it doesn't change anything for me.

I think - I mentioned it a while ago:

And I think Siannah is probably sitting down somewhere trying to remove both feet from his or her mouth.
well, looks like every publisher with enough money will try to do a steam-like service, they dont want to give gaben his 30%.
also paid mods will definetly return.
what a shame
It's another client, and with Bethesda's QA standards (or lack thereof), I'm sure it'll work out in the best ways possible. /s

Unless they start making games exclusive to that service (which I seriously doubt they'll do, but you never know) and offer something other clients don't, it probably won't amount to anything significant (even if they allow modders to make money off of their work).

On another note, I still haven't finished Fallout 4 (played for like 6 hours and forgot about it).

Shoulda bumped one of those, but knowing the search function, I wouldn't have found them anyway. BTW I forgot to reply to that last post of Siannah, not gonna bump it now and start it all over again :D
Won't make any difference to me, i stopped buying their games at oblivion.
So shall it remain, maybe more will turn up drm free, the only way i'm touching them.
Just another service to avoid....meh.

Paid mods is ok, if the mod maker/s get a good deal, wonder how greedy they will be.
It's as bad as it's good : on one hand, that means that big pubs are sick and tired of steam dependance and are slowly coming to the realisation that it's going to bite them hard in the ass if this goes on, on the other hand, when big pubs launch their vision of an online store, it's as bad as it sounds...
Ah, another fish in the pond. Let see if it'll pike or carp.
I know I'll never touch it
we want new elder scrolls game and not this
