Klumpen0815: I like Doom 3's original "shadow management" with the flashlight, it's what made this game special for me and the level design is made for this. No interest in the duct tape mod here.
Agree wholeheartedly. The use of shadows (along with absolutely stellar use of sound) is what makes the game.

Great job GOG (was going to say good job, but considering Bethesda's hostility to DRM-Free I had to say great). Now get Bethesda to release the rest of their stuff here, especially Fallout 4 and I will buy!

You clever bastards! I can't even... Seriously never thought this would happen!

Jinxtah: I own all the fallout games already, but they're now named Fallout CLASSIC. I'm assuming they're exactly the same games, so what was the reasoning for doing it this way? It makes no sense that the new releases don't show up as being in my library, even though I clearly own them.

Barry_Woodward: The Interplay versions marked "Classic" have more special features (which those that acquired them previously will get to keep), but the games themselves are virtually identical with Bethesda's versions, for the time being. In the future, if Bethesda decides to make additional improvements, those changes will not be carried over to the Interplay originals, although GOG will continue to support them.
They do indeed have lots of extra "goodies", which is fine and all, but it's a little silly owning an unlisted version of a game, when the game is listed on gog again. It can't be that hard to find some way to merge them, so the game will show up as owned when I browse the site, and just let the people who gobbled up the original versions (or CLASSIC if you prefer), gets to keep all the extra stuff that came with their versions.
Anyone know of a list of games Bethesda owns they can link to? I'm not very search fu on a tablet...

Thank you.
So there is hope, that one day we will see games like the Heretic/Hexen series, Quake 2-4, Doom 3 & Add-On, Wolfenstein series and such games on GOG?

Though this list worries me, as it only lists the BFG Edition of Doom 3... I hope this doesn't mean the original is abandoned.

Thanks to you too. :)
It's great to see Doom here on Gog.

The games were on Steam so I was waiting for them eagerly, knew it was only a matter of time.
One of the biggest difference between Doom 3 and Doom 3 BFG is, that in the original (older) version the bodies don't dissapear. They stay.

That's because the original Doom 3 wasn't published by Bethesda. This list only shows which releases they were the original publishers of, not their current full portfolio (notice that the other Doom and Quake games are also missing).

The lighting was pretty screwed up too. Even on the lowest settings it was too bright.
