The Elder Scrolls. Quake & Doom. Fallout. Alright.

Welcome, Bethesda, to our pantheon of all-time classics!
Today, we're happy to start a blooming new partnership with Bethesda Softworks, one that brings an impressive lineup of their unforgettable games to our DRM-free platform, and plenty of guts and nuclear smiles to our faces.

We're teaming up to release some of the greatest hits from the Bethesda vault, some DRM-free for the first time ever. Eleven new arrivals include The Elder Scrolls and two digital-distribution premieres, totally retro id Software shooters, plus the long-awaited return of the Fallout franchise! I wonder if Bethesda owns Return to Castle Wolfenstein, would love to own it digitally.

They do. No idea about Wolfenstein (2009), though (it isn't even available on Steam).

It's published on Steam by "iD Software", so I'd say yes. Though, I couldn't say if they'd actually release it here or not.

IAmSinistar: Thanks to some help from Judas, it looks like the installers for the Fallout games are essentially identical between the old and the new releases. If so, then owners of the old versions don't need to work about losing support, since they should theoretically get the same updates as new purchasers.
IIRC, according to an old Judas post, removed games are still supported by GOG. The support form is non-functional for removed games, but that's also true for unbundled games, kickstarter editions, etc.
About time! All in all, fantastic news!

I was more worried that Bethesda would consider the old versions as separate entities and out of the support lifecycle, and thus GOG couldn't update them along with the new ones. Happily this is not the case and the old installers are basically mirrors of the new ones.

GOG.com: good stuff

anothername: *speechless*

edit:
but.. but... whom do I rant against now!? *sob*
You can rant about having no one to rant at now :P
To think I doubted you guys.

"Looks in mirror and points finger" SHAME ON YOU !
Oh my God. I might finally get to play New Vegas and the new Wolfenstein! Fingers crossed!
Great news all the way! GOG is awesome! Now who's next? Take2? Blizzard?? Valve??? I'll believe anything at this point..
Holy fucking shit! Nice.
I remember, a few weeks ago I said that Bethesda is the publisher I wanted to see the most on GOG.com - and someone argued that that could never-ever happen and it was completely impossible. Take that, random internet guy who's name I can't remember!

Ah, I didn't know that.
So... the new versions just have less content?
Oh well...

I'm not sure I would want to play 2009 again. xD
It might be fun though.
