Now you're really getting your hopes up unrealistically. ;)

If somebody buys a Bethesda game as a gift, who will get the free games? The buyer or the one who redeems the gift?

Cool beans. Also nice to see the old Fallouts back, even in their weird double forms. *shrug* It'll be interesting to see what other games will be coming our way from their back catalog.

For now I may very well disappear into a deep dank hole with all these Elder Scrolls games with a side of shotgun-in-demon-faces. First things first though: Need to finish Eye of the Beholder 1, lest I won't bother to finish it at all.

Anyway, as far as classics go, the way things have been going this year may prove to be actually one of GOG's best if not THE best since they opened their doors. It'll be tough for them to come even comparatively close again in the future.

Themken: WOOOOOT!

My jaw dropped (how unsightly).

Welcome Bethesda, welcome!

Sure did not expect that even if only the very old games are on GOG now
same here , and more, I checked the gog, and what did i see, ? WOW!!!!
bang i smacked down the chair...
lucky for me i landed softly :D

i bought it at once ...

very nice game, good memories to it and the time i bought it.
the minute i saw it in the local shop, i had to have it, grabbed all my cash and rushed to the local Toys R Us retail store.
Later fallout 2 arrived aswell (toys r us )

check screenshots the first games are old so i paid in guilders, the last one amaray cd box is in euros
still have the original manuals of 1 and 2, the full box is gone, carton doesnot preserve that well.

These are the games with a story, excitement, atmosphere, and without motionsickness or photosensitivity risks for me.

If nowadays devs would make games in this style (forget the 3d for a moment and the unity engine) then i be sold to games like these, this kind of games i love, this kind of games i can play, this kind of games i am looking for over the internet and in some stores which sell leftover old retail games .
If there was more like this , like there are tons of 3d, then i would have almost twice as much games then i have now.

thank you GOG for getting the games back to GOG.

I definitely didn't expect Bethesda, whom I thought would never accept selling DRM-free. I'm glad they changed their ways somewhat, at least for classic games. Morrowind is an awesome release, a game I've been itching to play by the way. Here I come Morrowind!
Nice catch GOG :)

I would think the free games are triggered by adding a Bethesda purchase to a shelf, so they likely go with the key. Could be wrong, of course.

I'm curious as to what happens when multiple people redeem off that same bundle key. Does the first redeemer get the free games? Or everyone? Moot if it's the buyer, of course.

BillyMaysFan59: Whatever :P I'm content with the installers I downloaded over a year ago, it's the same game and all.
avatar
IAmSinistar: We got official confirmation, the base games are the same.
Thanks.
Which big publisher should come next?

Take-Two. I'm in the mood for some Grand Theft Auto.
I cannot even begin to imagine who had to get blown for this to happen, but I'm glad it did. Just bought the TES and ID packs, and look forward to plenty more from Bethesda in the future. Quake II with expansions? Quake III Arena/Team Arena? A whole new world is open with Bethesda jumping on the GOG bandwagon.
