Well, I guess it's preferable to what GOG did with Atlantis: The Lost Tales when they were forced to yank the soundtrack.

I managed to archive the soundtrack before it was pulled, but the fact that GOG just unilaterally pulled it out from under my feet was not exactly an encouraging step for the future of digital distribution.

Thanks to some help from Judas, it looks like the installers for the Fallout games are essentially identical between the old and the new releases. If so, then owners of the old versions don't need to work about losing support, since they should theoretically get the same updates as new purchasers.

That's my take on it at this point.

Oh man, I am totally bummed about the lack of bonus items for my fallout titles. Thank god they're finally on my shelf, but yeah, would be really nice to get the bible, soundtrack, and ref cards... like, REALLY nice...

I know it's probably not likely that they'll appear, but I'm definitely going to be keeping my fingers crossed for Terminator: Future Shock and Skynet now :-D
+1 and so much hope the Terminator licence can be renewed for redistributing these titles.

Between the D&D games, the Pillars of Eternity stuff, and now this, I apparently picked a terrible couple of weeks to be short on discretionary funds.

Good job. You guys are getting impressively close to completing the classic games library.

Thanks (again) to Grargar and Engerek01 for the list of "classic" Fallout extras. Looking through them, the Bible, Reference Cards and Soundtracks and Bonus missions look nice.

I'm just going to hope that they get added again - yes, I know it's probably a forlorn hope. ;)

Any idea if this is the floppy version of elder scrolls 1&2 that was already free, or the cdrom version with voice?

jalister: I've downloaded and installed the GOG version and the version from Bethesda's site. The GOG version is larger, and it has a speech folder with nearly 200 .voc files. The Bethesda free version does not have the speech folder with the .voc files.

That alone made my Elder Scrolls bundle purchase worth it.
