If it is multiplayer only not going to buy t. Aslo do wonder if there will be restrictions on mod support as well with Bethesda loving their creation club so much.

I do have all the previous Fallout games which i did enjoy (4 not so much as i thought was too light on the rpg mechanics and narrative + sorry sucks in my opinion).
Fallout: 76 reporting for duty.

AB2012: LOL. Personally I don't hate Bethesda and did enjoy all 5 Elder Scolls games (Arena to Skyrim). But looking at Elder Scrolls Online though, it's hard to not expect any "Fallout Scrolls Online" MMORPG to be a huge-grind fest for which you can part-degrind by "renting" the game for $155-$180 per year as part of your de-crippled "Fallout Online Plus experience"...
If it's Fallout MMO or Fallout Rust then I'll dismiss it because I don't play online games. That's not the same thing as acting like every Bethesda game since Morrowind is some unplayable piece of shit. Not surprising for the GOG forums lately though I guess, which since I have returned have shown me nothing but negativity and paranoid madness.

Your generalisation certainly is. :-P

StingingVelvet: You guys are a cheery, positive bunch.
To be fair, last time I was positive (for Pyre) I almost got skinned by another user because "Bastion sucks" and I dared to say I liked it.
When I'm not positive I usually get skinned for... well, any reson is good, really.
Fact is, nobody can express any opinion here any more.
Personal insults like in those threads in the first page seem fine, though.

Also, to stay on topic: I disliked every Bethesda developed game ever except Morrowind, and for me the more we move on in time the worse they become. So, definitely no hyped, I have no intention to purchase one of their games again unless they prove to have completely changed their design choices. Which is very unlikely.

I am losing hope that this game will have a good single player campaign. Do you see a trend with survival games lately? Does Bethesda just want a slice of that pie? There are also rumors about Fortnite/Battle Royale modes.

I don't even...

What exactly is there to be positive about? Their trajectory has been obvious for some time and it isn't going to lead to a good Fallout game. May end up offering some fun if a fan of the franchise can enjoy an open world action game with a Fallout skin slapped on it.

Yay...?

I'll be the first to sing their praises if they end up basically making New Vegas 2 but... come on... that ain't happening.
so it looks like they are finally finishing that Fallout MMO they started years ago, good for them.

I liked the other Fallout games so far (yes, even 4), there are few other series I have spent so many hours on (and I actually prefer Fallout 3, NV and 4 over Fallout 1 and 2). However, I do not play MP games, especially if they are PvP oriented, so if this is the direction it is heading it is not my cup of tea.

Looking forward to Fallout 5, though.
As with all games today, I do NOT get excited or hyped.

But I will keep a simple eye out for it...
Seems like Beth is finally embracing the four horsemen of the apocalypse; Early Access, Survival, Crafting, Multiplayer. Always seemed to me like they had a casual relationship to single-player campaigns, they obviously hate them and just want to make those immersive open-world "play forever" things, surprised it took them so long.

Damn, I missed Fallout 5 through 75. And I spent only one month with GOG Galaxy and still was on Steam.
Crazy.

I don't really understand getting excited for this. They'll just release another, more simplified, casualized, buggy version of Fallout with higher system requirements and it'll be a game that will depend entirely on modders to make interesting, and we already know paid mods infest Skyrim:SE and F4.
I'm not excited in the slightest. I have zero interest if it's multiplayer focused. And I won't be able to run it anyway. And even if not for those two reasons, it will be Steam only. So yeah, nothing here for me.

That said, I really don't get this insane hate for Bethesda. Gamers really love to hate stuff I guess. I mean, sure Fallout 3 was buggy as hell, and the ending sucked hard, but other than that it's really not a bad game. I don't regret the time I spent with it at all. But maybe that's because I only played the original Fallout when it was already an old classic, so I don't have this nostalgia tinted almost religious view of it as something sacrosanct.

They do? I have both of them. FO4 with over 80 mods installed, and Skyrim:SE with over 100. None of them paid mods.

I had a blast with FO3 as well as NV and am currently having a great time with FO4. Now, I'll admit, I find mods pretty much a necessity in these games, but the games are fun. Like you though, I only played the original FO1 and FO2 long after they were considered 'classics'.

While New Vegas is superior and far better as an RPG I love Fallout 3 and 4 and love open world shooters with RPG elements in general, like Far Cry 3. I dislike hating something because of what it's not, rather than what it is.
