I'm a huge fan of british comedy like Blackadder, My Family, Yes Minister, Allo Allo, Red dwarf and Fawlty Towers.
The few american comedies I like are Frasier (first 4-5 seasons), The neighbors and Modern family.
For some reason I never liked The Office, either the british or american version.

Nothing beats Monty Python!

Except perhaps Michael Palin armed with a couple of sardines... though I'm sure that paradox would cause him to implode on the spot.

Two and a half men: primitive dreck.
How I met your mother: sentimental crap about dumb, totally unlikable people who should have gotten painful STDs for their degenerate, promiscuous lifestyle.
The big bang theory: actually mildly amusing in its first season or so, but the horrible female characters totally killed it. And the portrayal of scientists as infantile fools obsessed with comic books etc. is offensive.

I'm actually embarrassed I know enough about those shows to have formed an opinion about them.
Can't think of any good sitcoms.
I tend to not like sitcoms, and even though it puts me firmly in the category of 'people who had their sense of humor surgically removed and donated to some obscure charity' (:P), I actually like Big Bang Theory a lot. Well, the last few seasons were pretty meh, but otherwise I get a laugh out of it. Maybe it's because I actually know people like some of the characters on the show.

I also like Fawlty Towers, Seinfeld certainly had some moments, and I thought the first handful seasons of the Simpsons was entertaining. Some others mentioned here I've seen a few episodes of and some have made me laugh.

Worst? I don't know about worst, but some absolutely abysmal shows include Two and a Half Men, and Two Broke Girls,
Best: Seinfeld

worst: IDK

docbear1975: Fraser (pre-Niles/Daphne)
I actually stopped watching Frasier soon after the Niles+Daphne get together simply because the episodes started to be really bad. What they did with Daphne was bad and the episodes weren't funny at all. I decided to pick it up again and try some just last week, and after a little lull, the episodes started to be really good again, very good for some. Now I'm almost done with the series.

There was this show called Complete Savages that there was 1 season of that is really good, I was disappointed but not surprised it got cancelled.
Best- El Chavo del Ocho / El Chapulín Colorado

Liking those is a requirement to prove that you are a true Brazilian. I'm sure DaCosta will agree or else he will be thrown out of the country by the government.

Worst- Everything else that isn't those two.

Then I'm afraid you're gonna have to call the authorities because I never liked Chaves or really got what anyone else saw on it.

Except Parangaricotiromirruaro, I think that's a pretty great made up word.

The show got really boring after Daphne and Niles got together, so I bailed on it. (Although I thought the episode where Niles had this elaborate proposal prepared for Daphne was kind of funny).
Best, all time: Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Larry Sanders Show

Best, recent: Veep, Silicon Valley, Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge

Worst, all time: My Family, Birds Of A Feather, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps

I highly suggest powering through the not-so-good episodes, they don't last too long, and there are lots of quality episodes in the last 2+ seasons. With, I think, a couple of the funniest out of the entire series.

I need to, because Frasier was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

Well, I watched the first episode of Lady Dynamite. Didn't hate it but didn't love it either. It doesn't exactly want me to watch another episode.
