DaCostaBR: I'm sorry to hear that, Pokémon is awesome.

Pokémon is fucking magical man.

I played Platinum and absolutely hated it, then I gave a chance to Pokémon X and fell in love with the series. It does help that the new ones have a lot less grinding too.

It also helped that I started catching shiny Pokémon left and right on luck alone, and my friend who's a long time fan had almost none. So it's a great series if you're petty as well.

snowkatt: the cube did alright for third parties though
Sort of. You have to remember that it was a lot cheaper and less time consuming to make games back then, so it wasn't that much of an investment to put a game on the Gamecube, porting wasn't that much of a leap either, compared to how it was on the cartridge based N64 or on the underpowered Wii. Even then, it paled in comparison to the PS2.

RayRay13000: Other games I've played (and would recommend as well):
[...]
-The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (assuming you didn't play the original on GameCube)
Worst Zelda game ever.

Time to set the pokemon mood:

Hyrule Warriors, Xenoblade X, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Wonderful 101 to name some of my favorites. I still have quite a few to go (Pikmin 3, which should be 20 bucks now; Woolly World) but these ones are quite good. Xenoblade is frankly the game I got the system for and while it has issues it's arguably worth getting the system over, if you loved Xenoblade on the Wii as much as I did at least (which is to say quite a lot).

well yeah but most systems pale compared to the ps2
the only one that even comes close is the DS

ill be eyeing the wii U but reserving judgement untill june see what happens then
and if i walk away with a black wii U or not ( i actually want a white one almost all my gear is black )
I'll list down the games I enjoyed on Wii U. So, here are they in no particular order:

Mass Effect 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut
Super Mario 3D World

Assassin's Creed III
Splatoon
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Injustice: Gods Among Us

What I love most about Pokemon is how insane everything is. Whenever I play the games I feel like I've lost myself in Alice's wonderland.
Nintendo Land. It was the only game actually made and centrally focused around the lead anchor known as the Wii U gamepad.

RayRay13000: I can't wait for the massive letdown/rage when the NX is unveiled.
Now with an entirely new gimmick no one ever asked for! ;) I also expect their online services be as craptastic as ever, and Nintendo will continuously counter that argument with "But think of the children!" *rolls eyes*

I basically got a Wii U just for Bayonetta 2. I have bought or borrowed some other games, but none of them really impressed me much at all.

Get that, though.

1. Was it really that dissipointing? I own the First game on Wii (I have seen my brother and his girlfriend beat that game many times.) What was the problem?

2. I assume its not up to par with games like Day-Z?

3. Isn't that the game that is supposedly like Pikmin?

4. Do you say this after having played Passed "New" Super Mario Bros. games?

Because so far New Super Mario Bros. U looks like the best of all the games. I mean the Bowser fight is certainly more hype:

-Bayonetta 2
-Zombi-U

Very excellent games! :)

It's an action game from Platinum. Same genre as Bayonetta, but a bit more casual.

1. XCX is my only experience into Xeno JRPG games, so I can only speak of that Wii U game and nothing else. On the plus side, its graphics is really good and they created a very huge world. Whatever you see in the horizon, you can actually go there. There's no invisible walls at all. That was the only thing I liked though. XCX story has untapped potential. A lot of its issues has to do with its characters and writing. It's just downright awful. Cutscenes are abysmal. The combat is OK, but the amount of grinding involved is crazy, especially when you start dealing with skells. There are huge spikes in difficulty in some areas. Its system of combat and other aspects are overly complicated. It's a game that requires the internet juuuuuuust to wrap your head around it and play it properly. The final boss is just the icing in this sh*t cake.

2. Zombi U is a competent survival horror 1st generation Wii U title. However, it stops being scary after you figure things out. The constant cricket bat swings gets tiresome and the game doesn't pose as much issues as you'd think a survival horror game does. The weapon selection is pitifully small too. There are lousily designed level segments that utterly bring down the entire experience for me. There's enough ideas to make this an interesting product to try. Ultimately, its flaws were too much for me. People who pick this game up have to remember one thing. It's not a shooter even if it feels like it. Day-Z it isn't nor should it be compared to that.

3. Wonderful 101 is like Pikmin, except it attaches to some stylus gimmick that has a high learning curve. This game also doesn't have any effective means of training you to become good at it. The only way to learn is to stick with it and well, stick with it. I also have problems because I'm left handed so pulling out the stylus to draw symbols means letting go of the left stick for mobility. Couple that with horrible kiddie writing in a ho-hum package and you have a perfectly mediocre game.

4. That's the game I played and finished. It's just punishment. Utter punishment. I didn't enjoy my journey. It felt like an old Mario game with a new coat of paint. The mechanics don't feel fun anymore. If you're going to get this, might as well buy Super Mario Maker for more interesting Bowser showdowns. Super Luigi U is even mooooooore punishment.

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed Windwaker HD. I didn't know it before, but apparently I'm a closet Zelda fan :P. Currently playing Twilight Princess HD and it's also quite a bit of fun.

Bayonetta 2 is good... I think? I dunno, it's got a learning curve like a brick wall if you want to feel like you're doing anything more than mashing buttons and dodging. There are something like 30 combos for each different weapon, in addition to special moves.

EDIT: Oh yeah, Super Mario 3d Land is pretty fun, in a "this is a Mario game and nothing more" sort of way.
