Don't exaggerate, it lasts like 3 hours.

snowkatt: humor me but if i dont care for the usual nintendo stuff

Honestly Mario anything is milked WAY too much. Actually all the base franchises are (Zelda & Mario) and Metroid games don't look like they got better since prime. So it's a coin toss. Actually I really hate the 'wii' name in general so I'm pre-biased against the system in general.
yes all nintendo's franchises are getting milked way too much
but i am somewhat interested in a wii U but nt at ful price
im waiting for the NX to drop and the wii U to topple before buying in to it

but im also quite bored and tired of anything with mario's gob on it

other then smash bros mario kart and hyrule warriors is there anything for people like me ?
Super Smash Bros. 4

If I had a Wii U I probably wouldn't play anything else.

Not that I think you're actually interested, but it has Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wonderful 101, Hyrule Warriors, Splatoon, Wario Ware, Captain Toad, Pikmin 3, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and there's Pokkén Tournament and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE still to come.

And there is also a new Paper Mario in the works. I love the series.

ye of little faith eh ;p

some of them interest me ( wonderfull 101 hyrule warriors fatal frame )

some ...not so much ( pokken monster hunter 3 splatoon pikmin 3 )

dont know anything about wario care tokyo mirage or captain toad though
+1 To Pikmin 3. One of my favourite games of 2015. Nintendo land is also fun.
Star Fox Zero is looking promising, i'll hopefully pick that up. Lost Reavers may be worth a try when that comes out.

Otherwise, i've not played these but they're also games i'd like to try out:
Super Mario 3D World
Splatoon (I tried the demo before it came out but not for long enough so might end up getting it anyway)
Armillo
Rayman Legends
Assault Android Cactus
Sonic Lost World
Mario Party 10 (doesn't look as good as the older games, but maybe worth a go?)
Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze (bought this, not played it yet)
Hyrule Warriors (also bought and not got around to trying out)

Gotta say though, the Wii U will be the last console i'll get from Nintendo. It's a great console but Nintendo just don't seem to be any good anymore and they seem like they've become disjointed from the rest of the games industry and they're on their own planet. It's pretty stupid that they've essentially just dropped the Wii U at this point just as the PS4 and Xbox One are getting started, and the NX doesnt sound that good so far from the rumors that have been going around. If they'd have actually advertised the Wii U more and tried to push it a little more then maybe it would've sold better, but they never really seemed to be bothered to try and clear up any confusion about it. Still a good console though.

Wario Ware is a collection of funny little minigames used to showcase the hardware. They had WarioWare Touched on the DS, and Smooth Moves on the Wii. It's actually a really fun series.

Captain Toad is a puzzle game. You have to navigate and collect stars in a 3D level, but you can't jump, so you need to plan your movements before you make them.

TMS #FE is made by Atlus, it looks like a Persona game by a different name, where the Personas you summon just happen to be Fire Emblem characters.

You shouldn't just dismiss the others though, I'm not into fighting games, but Pokkén being partly in 3D seems really fun, like fighting a boss fight in another game. Unless you're just not interested because it's Pokémon. Pikmin 3 also didn't look like my cup of tea, until I played the Nintendoland minigame based on it.

For Hyrule Warriors, if your PC can handle it, you could just try Dragon Quest Heroes on Steam instead. It ran like crap for me, but you could have better luck.

i want to have more then a handfull of games

hyrule warriors seems like abuy for me though

I see what you're saying and I understand completely. Nintendo had the right idea with the NES and SNES. I don't know how or why or who, but for some reason they just stopped giving a crap about third party titles. Their handheld division knows how to keep a system alive - but when it comes to home consoles they seem to have deluded themselves into thinking that their first party titles are more than enough to keep their consoles afloat.

I love first party Nintendo games, but look at big ticket releases that never came out on a Wii/Wii U console: the Arkham series, Doom 4 (coming later this year), Dragon Age, and plenty more. I'm building a gaming rig for these releases.

I do,however, have a sizeable Wii library and my Wii broke. Modern Warfare 3 killed it. If that sounds strange to you, Google "modern warfare 3 wii disc read error". You'll find plenty of threads of people who say they were playing the game and then their disc laser somehow stopped working. There were plenty more when the game first came out but a lot of time has passed since then. It was out of warranty when it broke so I tried fixing it myself which only messed it up further. I can probably keep it alive long enough to transfer my titles to the Wii U.

In response to Snowkatt's posts; it's highly likely that the NX will be either a mobile device or a VR thing. All of the terminology/leaks for the NX are things used in mobile devices. I remember reading an article not too long ago about how the Big N wanted to jump into the mobile scene. The late Satoru Iwata himself said the NX is not meant to replace the Wii U or the 3DS.

I have to mention that even with these pieces of information (more like rumors?) Nintendo has been tight lipped about the NX project and it's pretty frustrating for Nintendo fans. Stop teasing us already!!

Especially with the more current games where you don't have to grind so much.

well we wil have to see
i dont really follow vidiya gaming rumors anymore i just know the NX is coming
so i plan to just wait and see what will happen in june

from what i know about the NX though is that its modular
both console and hand held

while this sounds interesting it also sounds gimmicky as fuck and i am tired of gimmicks personally

Well, they never cared about third-party, it's just that before no one had a choice. Then they overstepped by keeping their proprietary cartridges on the N64, and the PS1 stepped up to the plate. Having a choice, third-party publishers never really came back.
