How can people trust vpns? Anywhere agencies can't get a warrant for they could bribe instead.

What's the matter I thought large corporations loved globalisation.

Only when rich people from poor countries now can buy their stuff; not when poor people from rich countries start buying stuff elsewhere (oversimplified).

It's also a rights issue. To continue with Netflix, they only have the rights to play certain shows and moves in certain countries.

For example, one of my hosting clients is a missionary serving in an Asian country. She has a Netflix account and can only watch what's approved for that country. She's one of the folks who uses the VPN we provide. She uses it for a lot of other things as well.

Recently I read Anta.net VPN reviews about top vpn for china. Now I use NordVPN it works great, it hes high level of security and high connetion speed. Always use it in my tips to China.

Had mostly very good experiences with StrongVPN during 2013-2015 in China. Great Firewall updates and other crackdowns sometimes caused problems, but this was usually fixed quite fast.

Rather than "recommend" I will share my experience with ExpressVPN. Been using it for about 18 months and have been very satisfied with their product. It does cost more than some and way more than free. You get what you pay for???? =)

I chose it for the reviews and also because they have an option to allow the use of the OpenVPN client on my dd-wrt router. It does take some time and knowledge to do this manually. I installed it manually because I wanted to keep the dd-wrt firmware.

They have their own router firmware for certain routers if you prefer that method. I have unlimited connections via the router vs three (I may be wrong on that number??) that are normally allowed using their app. It does slow my connection by around 10 % but it has not had any negative affects on anything I do online.

I also downloaded the ExpressVPN app for my android box. It is set to connect on startup and is more versatile than my router (like their PC app) in that I can easily chose the server / country I want to use. The router I have to download a .opvn file for each location, paste it in and reboot the router. I think their router firmware works like their app but I've never used it. I have vpn passthru enabled on my router or I can turn off the app and it is automatically sent thru the router vpn. It is nice to have the box app as I can take it anywhere and still have it go thru the vpn.

I like the online support via chat. I have used it a couple of times for questions and they are nearly instant to reply and answered all my questions.

Other than a slight slowdown I only find the fact that I have to disable the vpn to connect to my bank since they don't allow connections via vpn. It took them about six months to discover I was using a vpn but once they knew I could only connect with the vpn disabled. They confirmed via CS. It is easy to disable / enable in my router so. . .

We have several wireless devices, including my android box, that are also sent thru the vpn connection when connected to my routers wireless.

Like others have stated, do some research and find one that suits your needs. Lots of reviews online. Hope this helps.

Thankyou all for this. Been considering a vpn myself lately. Don`t trust what I see touted as `best` on the general net, but I get the feeling I`ll get a truer and more brutal representation from the horse`s mouth here!

There is also Opera browser that offer a VPN. Some months ago it was awesome. Now... Well i don't use it anymore.. But it is still free with no data limit so I think you should at least try it

I'm very surprised nobody has mentioned ProtonVPN yet. It's the best damn one there is. Just go take a look for yourself why it beats out NordVPN and the rest of those VPNs that probably sell off your data or expose your porn habits. The best part of ProtonVPN? It's under swiss jurisdiction!

Well, yes. Opera was the best thing around when it was around. Went out of commission back in April. I've been using Ivacy for torrents since, and you can check it out, but I still miss Opera and Olaf. :(

I use Express VPN, which is not free but you can get a 30 day trial if you look around there it is and many others offer black friday vpn deals with massive discounts. While it is a little bit more expensive than over VPN services, I find that it works brilliantly for streaming video which has been geo blocked. I also get a decent enough download speed from various sites that I won't mention names of, when it is connected to a smart location within the UK. While my Fire stick doesn't fully support the apk of the VPN software , there is a work around in which I have created an Amazon account and then connected to the internet with the stick via avirtual router.

While I was really late in the game joining up to a paid VPN, it is something that I am really glad about doing & wished that I had done it ages ago.
