What is the best RPG Maker game ever made? They can't all suck or be mediocre.

I liked hybris rebirth gold and found like it was the best in the german rpg maker games to me from 60 rpg maker games i played,languages i also know are english and german so i played those rpgmaker games.
Also i needed 60 hours to beat hybris rebirth gold.
The game should appear on steam some day as hybris pulse of ruin with even more content. Don't know if the game could appear here also but i said to the developer if he could release it here after being succesfull on steam

edit: Just realized the poster was discussing game made by RPG maker and not an enigne that would make RPGs.

Is there any that doesn't look like a NES jRPG? If so - that one.

I've played a handful that were fair. Nothing was great. Even a great story on rpg maker is stunted by the engine in most cases for me. Nonetheless, I still love to use it and still dabble in playing some of the games.

The best I ever played was a tiny game about a slime. I was rolling it was so funny.

To the Moon - I finished it, but it was slow amd overall not a great game. It would have been far better on an engine that would work with it better. The action parts of the game were not fun at all.

One Shot is the highest rated I've seen. I haven't played it.

I played a tad of skyborn. Not bad, not cup of tea.

Rpg maker games usually are made by small teams with ideas. I think they're interesting to explore some of those ideas, but when they advertise 100 hours of game time, no thank you. There are far better games and engines in the world.

Asking for the best RPG Maker game is like asking for the best smelling turd. ;-)

Bad joke aside, if it's true that To The Moon is made in RPG Maker, that game wins. That could show that RPG Maker is good for isometric Visual Novel-ish game.

Yume Nikki. It's not an RPG Maker game, though.

Die Reise ins All by realtroll (German language only, unfortunately). Followed by Space Funeral by thecatamites. Both are freeware and pretty outstanding, IMO. And I don't usually like RPGMaker games that much.

LISA - The painful RPG by Dingaling is supposed to be really good, too, but I haven't played it.
