This is a weird pick that most people wouldn't think of, but Battle Theme 2 from Super Bomberman 5. It stuck in my head for SO LONG till I found it! Super Bomberman 1's Area 1 music also.

And Bejeweled 3's Butterfly Mode music.

Those are non-obvious picks, I don't think I need to tell anyone about how cool the Mario and Sonic game music is

All of the REAL HALO series (everything after ODST is dead to me) have fantastic soundtracks - ODST's is a particular favourite of mine.
Final Fantasy 8 ( Black Mages cover of Premonition, which is one of my favourite tracks from the game)
Metro 2033
The only reason I bought Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was the soundtrack CD that came with it.

Still haven't played the game, because fuck DRM - not that Ubisoft would care, of course, since they already got my money.
You could add Deadly Premonition's entire OST (have a forty of crack and give it a whirl, it won't do you any worse than it's PC port)

Or just play Asura's Wrath, it possess a bitching soundtrack for it's time, it's atmospheric, sometimes tense and when things go down, it's empty, it's really great, if you LOWER every other sound setting, however had to edit that game, wasted all of the caffeine that remained in Japan for consumer-use-only.
