How come nobody plays this game anymore? I just recently looked for servers and found nothing. This doesn't make sense to me because this game is a World War 2 game and everyone loves World War 2 games. This game also has decent graphics for an old game. The game has good game play mechanics. The game is also great for those who have low end PCs. The game is also free from Origin. So WTF? Battlefield 3 is also free but the game sucks ass compared to Battlefield 1942.

Sorry for the short answer, yes EA is chopping down multiplayer on some old games regardless of how much the fans love it or not.

The best suggestion I can give is to check out Tunngle and play the game using the LAN feature. It's been a while since I used it and I'm unaware of the BF1942 community but you might just find a match or two :-)

I'd love to have it here. It's still my favourite WW2 FPS shooter. Would be fantastic with Galaxy.

I played exclusively against bots back in the days, and I had a lot of fun with it. You can play multiplayer on Gameranger though.

YES!

It's a hit and miss with the maps and the bots. Sometimes they take objectives like mad and sometimes they can't fight or do anything worth a darn. Whatever happens it's still very fun dominating your part of the battlefield killing bots left and right. :)

No, the bots are extremely retarded. They make the Stormtroopers in Star Wars, look like U.S. Army Rangers.

Which can actually make it fun. Usually you have to take and defend most of the objectives yourself which can be a real challenge on some maps.
