Elmofongo: In Zack Snyder I trust to give us great action scenes.
I disagree Syncer is all over the place with action scenes.
In Man Of Steel the Battle of Smallville was really well done, but he messed up the final battle with Zod. He flung so much CGI on the screen that it obscured and took attention away from the Supes and Zod fighting. Snyder at times just does not know when less is more.

undeadcow: Batman seems too robotic;
Wearing a huge metal armor will do that to you ;)

I loved that final fight. It felt as big as it should have and I could feel the impact and ferocity of it. I don't think any superhero movie before delivered a showdown of this magnitude. Oh, we had big fights, battles even, but nothing that really felt like this, at least not for me. Great effects, great choreography, and an emotional charge that gives it gravitas.

This teaser does little for me. I don't find the premise exciting at all, and there was nothing else to indicate this could end up not being boring.

Have you forgotten his last works in 300 and Watchmen?

The best thing about both is the action in 300 and the Visuals in Watchmen.

I am just hoping they give Superman more to say. He was a man of few words in the last movie.

Elmofongo: There are much better action scenes than Michael Bay.

Lemon_Curry: That's not saying much...

I'd rather see a superhero showdown movie featuring Pete Holmes as the black bonghead:
'Batman / Batman and Superman Team Up'
As in anyone in the buisness of making action scenes are better than Michael Bay?

I never understood the point of pitting Batman vs Superman. A human, however rich and smart is no match for a god, that Soops is for all practical purposes.
And that's actually my biggest concern with the whole Superman deal. Where the hell is any interest in following the story of a flawless, immortal, all powerful being. I know that in the recent year's iteration they tried to tone down the powers and insert character weaknesses, but it's a band-aid for a bullet wound. They didn't go even remotely far enough. The Man of Steel crap of a movie is a testament to that. What a mess.

Also 3 lols for Affleck being a good Batman. The man could stop taking himself too seriously in everything he does and maybe he'll find the appeal he once had. As it stands this constipated look of concern he has all the time, destroys all character believability pretty effectively.

Again, Lex Luthor would beg to differ.

Fixed that for you ;)

When he is in his Batsuit. I see Batman.
When I first heard about this movie, I was very excited. Then when I heard of their casting choices, I was disappointed. Ben Affleck? Seriously? Sure, he has an amazing record in Hollywood. Remarkable actually. But as Batman? I am having a hard time seeing it. For Wonder Woman, I would have expected Gina Cerrano or someone that has done action films before. Gil Gadot certainly is a fine actress with Fast & Furious 6&7 among others; but, Wonder Woman? Hopefully, I am wrong on this one. People flipped when Heath Ledger played the Joker, and he was amazing. People flipped when Tom Cruise was cast as Jack Reacher, and it flopped, as he was miscast for the role. What will happen here? Only time will tell. For DC Comics, I hope it works out. Marvel has soared past DC comics with their movies and if this flops, DC Comics is in trouble.

I think the current actor of Superman is ok. He has the cleft chin whch is essential and he is miles better than the actor in Superman Returns.

But that's exactly my point, mate. It was never convincing, not even when I was 10, that Lex was a genuine threat for Superman. Every obstacle felt artificial and fake, it was there just to give the semblance of interest to the story, but couldn't move you beyond a mere "Uh-hum... Let's see what god-like power he's use now to reverse this."

Anyway my complain about Superman actually goes to most superheroes, Marvel or DC. They could use a LOT of toning down and then they would be much more interesting. That's why my fav is Spiderman.
Keep it down, keep it interesting.

Nah, it was mostly a case of Superman using brawn to overcome the plot made by Lex. And quite often it wasn't brawn that beat brains, but the fact that Lex's plans had a flaw due to his nature. They didn't want to show that brawn always beats brains, so they did have to offer brains as an alternative.
And if you do take Superman's strength away, how many tricks did he have to solve a problem?

In terms of quantity only. For me every single one Of Nolan's Batman movies or Man of Steel is worth more than all the Marvel movies.

The trailer was fan-fucking-tasic. The writing is epic, the style of it reminds me Frank Miller's TDKR. The story itslef sounds very unique. Yes, I've know about Kingdome Come, All Star Superman, and Injustice but I don't think theres is a story that took the concept of Supes as a god that far.

NOT wan't to start a flame war, but this is pretty much a fact: When you go to a Marvel movie you know what you'r going to get. Marvel are deep inside their comfort zone (read: wining movie formula) and aside from The Winter Soldier that was REALLY good and diffrent from the other Marvel films, every one of them has the same feel and look.

The DCCU is shaping up to be very unique, in a good way.
I hope the film will be good. I enjoyed the trailer and hopefully someone finally beats the shit out of superman on screen. Hate that character.
