Meh.

I wish people would stop paying to see these endless comic book movies. I think they hit their glass ceiling about 5 years ago, and that was just due to the anomaly of Dark Knight. I really have no interest in seeing 38 different remakes of Spider-man or Thor. The Superhero well has runeth dryeth.

SpringPower: When I first heard about this movie, I was very excited. Then when I heard of their casting choices, I was disappointed. Ben Affleck? Seriously? Sure, he has an amazing record in Hollywood. Remarkable actually. But as Batman? I am having a hard time seeing it. For Wonder Woman, I would have expected Gina Cerrano or someone that has done action films before. Gil Gadot certainly is a fine actress with Fast & Furious 6&7 among others; but, Wonder Woman? Hopefully, I am wrong on this one. People flipped when Heath Ledger played the Joker, and he was amazing. People flipped when Tom Cruise was cast as Jack Reacher, and it flopped, as he was miscast for the role. What will happen here? Only time will tell. For DC Comics, I hope it works out. Marvel has soared past DC comics with their movies and if this flops, DC Comics is in trouble.
It went like:
"Who do we cast as Wonder Woman?"
"Dunno, the internetz mention some girl from Fast & Furious 6 a lot"
"Which one?"
"Dunno, man, I haven't seen it"
"Whatever, let's just pick one and they'd be happy"
Gal Gadot was cast

then it was
"Who do we cast as Lex Luthor?"
"Dunno, dude, but the internetz is rooting for some Heisenberg guy"
Jesse Eisenberg was cast

So another "hero beats up a villain" would be an idea, but doing something that was not yet done with those characters on screen isn't?

Anyway, here are some new posters. I especially like the one with Superman. Nice idea for something other than the usuall "stock pictures of heroes posing".

Oh, you <i>definitely</i> should read it; Batman: The Cult is a great story, and Bernie Wrightson's art is always worth it. As for the killing by Batman there, he's been drugged and brainwashed (and allucinating too, iirc) when he does it, so I wouldn't call that "intentional" at all.

i'm not completely sold on affleck. but it´s a new batman. if only christian bale was still around, i would even take joseph gordon levitt to continue with the story

where´s my michael keaton batman beyond movie!! c´mon DC!
