It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Barefoot_Monkey: Alternatively, users of Chrome-based browsers (such as Google Chrome, Chromium, SRWare Iron and newer Opera browsers) can get Barefoot Essentials as an actual Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store.
I just used this option and it worked as soon as I reloaded the page! :D Easy as 1, 2, 3! :D

Thank you so much for letting us know about this! :)

It's awesome! :D
I did not see this weird bug mentioned before but I did not have time to go through all posts, so sorry if this was already mentioned:
There is some problem with the collapsable footer being not at the bottom of the page in two cases:
- if the second or later page of a topic has not enough postings yet to fill a the screen page
- going at search results to a page different from the first one, there it is even hiding some of the results
(see attached pictures)
But this never happens to the first page of something. Ah yes I am using Firefox and tested it on two different computers with Firefox, so it is not my computer, but of course could be a Firefox problem. Tell me if there is need for any additional information and thanks for your awesome work :-)

No need to apologise, it's one more confirmation of the second bug.

I haven't however experienced the first one. Are you using the 20 or 50 posts per page setting? I use the latter.

50 posts per page of course, we write too many posts here to bother with a smaller setting :D

That's odd. Did you have this since the collapsalbe footer was introduced?

Wonder if anyone else has this.

I can't tell you since when this appears, I only installed all this stuff last week because of the constantly urging in the sale tracker thread :D

I just checked to see if I have the same issue and I do. Firefox, 50 post setting. I don't think the GOG website/forum works particularly well with Firefox -- before Barefoot Essentials there was that godawful chasm of empty space in between the meaningful content and the footer.

Aha! I was having trouble reproducing this problem but it seems that I needed to be using the Aluminium forum theme to see it. Thanks for reporting the bug and providing screenshots. This evening I'll see if I can get it fixed for you.

So it only occurs with one forum theme? ok... I would have thought they are the same except for the color codes at least that is how I did my forum themes :D
And thanks in advance for trying to fix it :-)

I don't use the Aluminium theme and I have the same bug moonshineshadow does.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I won't know what the cause is until I get some time to sit down and examine it carefully, but for whatever reason it doesn't affect me at all when I'm using Carbon.

I often think that too. From my exchanges with GOG staffers, it'd appear that everyone at GOG uses Chrome and the site seems to be optimised for it as no one has every-day experience with Firefox.
A minor update is up, which fixes some cases (all the ones I could personally reproduce) of the collapsible footer being higher than it's supposed to be. It also makes the minimum height of a forum page slightly less when collapsible footers are enabled, so now you don't always need to scroll down to see the footer.
Awesome, thanks. I tested it just now and the problem with the footer and the threads is fixed for me.
But the problem when using the search function and going to any restult page other than the first one still results in the footer bug for me.

It's the "Smaller spacer before the footer" setting that's causing this. If you disable it, all result pages display correctly.
