It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Niggles: Anyone else using Opera version 12.x not able to update this script? userscripts.org times out when looking for scripts...
Barefoot Essentials is available here. userscripts.org has been dead for months now.
Just installed BE and saw myself what's the talk about. To be honest i didn't checked yet all the features it introduces because i was in a hurry after i installed it but I already dig the preview window - something I was missing in the forum. Great enhancement BM, thank you.

Finally! You saw the light!! Better late than never, as the saying goes! ;-P
Is the navigation bar supposed to be opaque in the store and fade out to whatever set preference in the forums only?

Nope, it's definitely meant to respect the preferences everywhere. Thanks for pointing this out - it's a simple thing to fix. I'll make an update this evening.
One short question: Is it normal that the keyboard shortcuts don't work in the quick-box, only in the popup? Or is it a problem with my machine (Chrome stuffen with a ton of dev-related plugins)?

It has worked fine for me on FireFox and Pale Moon, but I experienced the same problem with Chrome.

It still worked a few weeks ago, I think. Question is BFE-change or Chrome change.

The previous week that I used Chrome for a while still had the problem. Maybe it's a bug that was introduced by one of the earlier updates?

It's not just you - I have that problem on Chrome too, and I suspect all other Chrome users do as well. I've been working on a fix for a while and I think I may finally have it figured out! Hopefully what I'm trying now works, because I've been delaying the update for the native Chrome extension until shortcuts are all working as they should, leaving the extension a few versions behind the userscript :$

Nice to know (and +1) that this is being worked on. I just loved Ctrl-Y!

Version 2.2 is now available. This update should fix navigation bar transparency on the catalogue pages and also restore all the keyboard shortcuts that had previously stopped working for Chrome users.

Cheers, especially for the Chrome related issue, though I'm no Chrome user.
Great work as usual barefoot!
