It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi. I'm sorry for taking so long to release this, but here's an update with some requested features and bugfixes:

- New feature: Fix the huge space that appears before the footer in forum topics on some browsers (default: off)
- New feature: collapsible footer (default: off)
- Fixed: "hide owned games and movies in catalogue" not working when filtering games by genre
- Fixed: "Click here to sync with GOGWiki again" not working reliably
- Account menu now get a "gifts" button alongside the "shelf" and "list" buttons. The blank icon is temporary - I'll add an icon later.
- Improvements to sync code which should make it work more reliably on all browsers

I didn't announce the previous update from a month ago, so I'll mention it here as well:

- New feature: toggle visibility of owned games/movies directly from the catalogue
- Restored feature: Hide specific navigation bar notifications (new/updated games, forum replies, new private messages)

I'd have liked to have all new features working perfectly before releasing, but that would mean delaying the update for even longer. Here are some things I'm still working on:

- Shortcut keys not working on Chrome
- The icon for the "gifts" button in the ACCOUNT menu
- Hiding navigation bar notifications can sometimes fail to have an effect due to a race condition

As soon as I get the Chrome-specific issues sorted out I'll have a big update for the Chrome native extension.

Regarding Seamonkey
There were some reports of problems syncing when using Scriptish on Seamonkey. The new version works with Scriptish on Firefox, but I keep encountering problems which happen only on Seamonkey. I found a workaround - remove the script from Scriptish and instead use another extension called Scriptify, which lets you install Greasemonkey scripts as full-blown extensions. I just discovered this and so far I'm quite impressed, and Barefoot Essentials appears to work perfectly with it.

A great tool keeps getting better! Thank you, thank you for including the collapsible footer. So much space wasted is now gone. A godsend!
WOW, these are some mighty impressive updates. Hat's off, Barefoot_Monkey, hats off!

*tips hat and picks up jaw from floor*
Also, amazing how humble Barefoot_Monkey is to apologise for his release schedule - that's some incredible customer service, and he's not even getting anything in return from us.

Kudos, pal, you rock!

If you could make this feature work in the PMs portion of Accounts, I'd be eternally grateful to you. (◕‿◕✿)

EDIT: Quick question - is this feature planned for the General Discussion pages or is it not possible to implement it for those?

Cheers for everything, your efforts and devotion are greatly appreciated. :-D

OMG!
I can now press "End" to reach the last post of the page without having to press "Page Up" twice after that.
Scrumptious!

People, post #391 is not high-rated yet...

Did you ask Barefoot to fix this in his next version of BE?

XD - the question is: only for his related_to_BE posts or in general?
Thank you for the update! :)

By the way: I solved my problem by allowing Firefox to save the cronology. Weird, since it has always worked with the other setting...
Thanks for version 2.1.9 !

Even though Scriptify 0.2.7 notes that it is "Not available for SeaMonkey 2.30", I installed it anyway. It works, as you noted.

Thanks again.
Thanks a lot for all of this again, I particularly appreciate these two features:

Thanks! It's awesome. :)
mrkgnao posted a while ago that made changes to the game pages that broke, again!, MaGog.

Apparently these changes also broke Barefoot Essentials as I don't get link to GOGWiki on game pages. Anyone else?

I weep for both mrkgnao and Barefoot_Monkey.

Can't see them either.
There's something funky going on with 'collapse footer' where the menu is below the actual footer (with the copyright info) until you scroll up from the bottom of the page. Then it moves up under said footer and eventually collapses.

In the nav bar, 'movies' still shows despite my having unticked the box to make it go away. =P

I am so grateful for this script, and that the awful huge space before footer disappeared thanks to your efforts, Barefoot_Monkey. You have no idea how happy you've made me. =D
