It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

mrkgnao: Thank you very much.

All the features seem to work fine --- the compacted HLTB section is especially nice --- except:
- Added the ability to move compacted news section to the top of the main page.
I don't see any change. It is still at the bottom for me.

P.S. Using Tampermonkey 5.1.1 on Firefox 126.0 on Windows 11.
For some reason different frontpages are been served between the browsers.
The feature is not working currently for me as well on Win10/Firefox.

I'll try to make it compatible with it.

dnovraD: The quick post window on the experimental/new forum them still seems a bit funny. I'll attach an image to the post.

Firefox 125.0.3/Violentmonkey 2.18.0/Fedora 40.
First I'll wait for the finalized version to look at, but yes, it can be considered as non-supported for now.

MarkoH01: It works for me but imo it looks terrible that the caroussel (which is much bigger) is now between the news and the rest of the site. I prefer to use my old script here which places the news under the caroussel.

Btw: I am also using the newest FF and Tampermonkey ... but Windows 10.
Can you share a screenshot?
I've tried to make the news section as small as possible to make the highlights caroussel to be visible (or at least most of it) on page load.

Aaah! That explains it.

GOG recently changed its home page and it is slowly propagating among users and browsers. I already have the new one (with the big Bestsellers and New Releases lists side by side at the middle of the page).

Thank you.

DawEdhel: BE Fork's starting post

v.3.0.2k
- Added the ability to highlight new users' posts in a thread by their registered date (two latest months from the current date).
...

Done.
Is it possible you forgot to include the update URL in the header?
It shouldn't matter since it will still check the original URL for updates but Tampermonkey will show a warning about the change.

It's rather not that I forgot but these were the initial fields from the beginning and I've never looked into it afterwards.
I'll look into the documentation and add missing records next update.
BE Fork's starting post
v.3.0.2l
- Fixed 'move compacted news section to the top of the main page' feature not working with the newest frontpage.
- Fixed 'Konami easter-egg' not working with the newest frontpage.
- Fixed 'About GOG' submenu's hover behaviour.
- Added various script's metadata fields for better compatibility with scripts managers.
BE Fork's starting post
v.3.0.2la
- Improved 'move compacted news section to the top of the main page' feature for the old frontpage to be inserted before the highlights section instead of at the top of the page.

I can make a screenshot but it is just as you say. You can see the caroussel and the news section on the same pageload but the news section (top) is of course smaller than the caroussel followed by the rest of the page that also is smaller than the caroussel and for me personally this does not look as good as having the caroussel on top followed by the news. Of course this feeling is subjective.

Perfect! Thank you! No more "End" key pressing!

FWIW, I prefer your solution (having the news above the carousel) over the one suggested by MarkoH01 (having the news below the carousel).

Perfect. No more warnings in Tampermonkey on Firefox. Thanks!

That's perfectly fine. Just like I said, it is a subjective feeling and it does not bother me much since I still have my script ... still more than enough reasons for me to use the BE script as well - so all is fine for me :)

There is a practical reason for my preference.

Due to my eyesight, I browse GOG at a fairly high zoom factor (160%). If the first two elements on the home page are the big banner (e.g. the current Sega sale) and the carousel, anything that comes after them (e.g. news) is not visible on page load without scrolling down. In fact, even the carousel is only half visible. Placing the news before the carousel guarantees that it can be accessed straightaway without the need for scrolling.

There is a new experimental theme on the forum, which is VERY nice. Dark puple with easier to see thread types. This new theme does mess with the quick post/reply function from this script, though. I don't know if it's worth addressing at this time, but I thought I'd bring it up.

Latest bits I've heard it's still a work-in-progress feature, so I'm going to wait it out first to see the full picture.

Cool. I was just making you aware if you weren't. If you decide to address it, and when, is obviously your choice!
