It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I think there's an issue with disabling the activity feed notification. It also disables the one for forum replies, so no way to know if you have unread replies unless you check the community tab on a regular basis. As soon as I unticked the option, I started getting them.

Should I fear that there's no way to separate them, or is it something at my end?

OdanUrr: What dots?
Whenever someone sneezes in your activity feed, a purple dot blinks next to the Account tab, and whenever you get a new forum reply, another one blinks next to the Community tab.

Thanks. I actually noticed that myself yesterday and did a fix for that on my local computer before going to sleep. I'll publish the update when I get home this evening. It will take away the current "hide activity feed notification" option and replace it with a list of specific notification dots to hide..

At the moment these are included in the normal BE notifications but to see if those are chat notifications or forum replys you will in fact have to click on the according tab.

Edit: Completely missed that BArefoot_Monkey already replied and wants to change this.

You got a working fix last night but kept it to yourself? Bad, bad Monkey!

Cheers again, looking forward to the new update.

New update: Barefoot Essentials 2.25.1

There are 2 changes in this update. First is that the recent feature to hide the new notification dots on the navbar now allows you to control the visibility of the activity feed dot and the forum replies dot individually. Because of this change, if you had previously hidden the dot it will re-appear and you will need to go back into the settings to hide it again.

The second change in this update is something I've been meaning to do for quite some time. You can now control where the navigation bar links for ABOUT, COMMUNITY and your account point to. For example, you can make clicking on your account name take you to your profile page or your game library instead of always to your activity feed.

Yay! I don't see the update, though. I've turned on developer mode and have updated my extensions, but it's still showing that it's 2.25. I've also restarted Chrome, but I still don't see 2.25.1.

Updates to Google Chrome extensions usually take a little while before they become available, because Google puts them on a queue to get scanned for malware instead of publishing them immediately. It will probably arrive in a few minutes.

Thank you for that, it was driving me nuts. xD

It updated. Thanks! I love the updates!
It seems as if I am still unable to hide the "community" dot. See attachment with my actual settings (FF ESR 52.6) - any ideas?

Haven't updated yet, so can't comment on the issue, but why would you want to disable that dot? How will you know if you have forum replies?

It's included in the BE counter so if there still is a number displayed even though there's nothing in chat there's a forum reply.

OK, I've updated, but there's something funny going on. The "Forum replies" disabled the "Activity feed", while the the "Activity feed" doesn't do anything - nothing changes on the nav-bar if I disable that one.

Also, setting "Community" to link to the "My posts" page results into Theodore giving me a 404 Error. Setting it to "General Forum" works.

Tested on Firefox 52.7.3 ESR version with Greasemonkey v3.17.

May I also suggest to add the option "Privacy (tab)" (https://www.gog.com/account/settings/privacy) to "Account"? Or maybe you could make it a separate entry in the drop-down menu under "Privacy & Settings"? I always thought the Privacy sections of that shouldn't be bundled together with Orders, so I'd like more direct access to this one at least.

Cheers again for the continued work and support.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a big update coming up very soon, and I'll make sure to get all that in.

Version 2.25.2 is up

- A correction was made to the implementation of the "hide notification dots" feature.
- Fixed broken link when the "Clicking on 'Community' takes you to Forum replies" option is used. (Thanks to HypersomniacLive for pointing this out)
- New "Bugfix" section for changes which simply fix apparent bugs in the site.
- Removed "Collapsible footer in forum posts" and "smaller spacer before the footer" options as they would interfere with new bugfixes. Collapsible footers may get re-added in a compatible form.
- New bugfix: option to keep the page footer at the bottom of the page, even if the page is smaller than the browser.
- New bugfix: Keep the 5 columns in the footer in a single row. (In some parts of the site, the COMMUNITY column would break to a new row)
- New bugfix: Avoid letting long activity feed text overflow. Currently this applies to the "started a topic" feed items.

The bugfixes are enabled by default but you can always switch them off if it turns out that they cause problems for you.
