It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The latest version of Barefoot Essentials is version 2.22.1

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barefoot Essentials is userscript which adds many enhancements and improvements to the GOG.com website and forum (click here for more information), and also gives you the ability to easily share your GOG game collection and wishlist on the GOG community wiki.

Installing on Google Chrome

Users of Chrome-based browsers (such as Google Chrome, Chromium, SRWare Iron and newer Opera browsers) can install Barefoot Essentials as a native Chrome extension through this link to the Chrome Web Store

Installing on Mozilla Firefox

Barefoot Essentials is implemented as a Greasemonkey userscript. To install Barefoot Essentials on Firefox you'll first need to have the Greasemonkey extension installed.

Once you have Greasemonkey installed you can then visit the Barefoot Essentials page on greasyfork.org to install the script.

Installing on Seamonkey

The process for Seamonkey is the same as for Firefox except that you'll need an alternative to Greasemonky, such as Greasemonkey Port. With that installed you can visit the Barefoot Essentials page on greasyfork.org to install the script.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have any problems or questions then feel free to ask in this thread.

Barefoot_Monkey: since the fall of userscripts.org
Thanks again for your work on this. I wanted to point out that you can access userscripts.org using port 8080 in case you were unaware and wanted to grab something from there.

Yay! Works as a charm :D
Thanks, your efforts are much appreciated. I wanted to share an issue that I have on both machines that I use this script on. One is a 32 bit Windows XP, the other 64 bit Windows 7, and both involve Tampermonkey for Chrome. I have narrowed the root cause of the problem down to the extension, however I haven't tested to see if it's an issue with Tampermonkey itself or the GOG script.

The problem is that after a few weeks of use, Chrome will start to display the message "Oops, it looks like Chrome did not shut down correctly" every time the browser is opened. This only happens on installations with both Tampermonkey and Barefoot Essentials.

The only solution that works is a fresh reinstall of Chrome, but then after a couple weeks of using Tampermonkey and the GOG script, the issue arises again, forcing me to reinstall again. I have since switched to using Firefox for GOG due to this issue, and I have no troubles with Chrome any longer.

Has anyone else ever encountered this and know of a solution? I prefer Chrome as it is more lightweight than Firefox.
One more for the thanks pile.
Another cheers!

I do have a question - is there any chance that the "attach a file" function can be added to "quick reply/ post"? I always forget that I can't and realise it the moment I'm about to do so (after having typed my post), so after a moment of "argh", I have to go look for the "+ new post" button, wait for it to open the separate window, copy over my post and finally attach the file - too much hassle, so it'd be really nice to be able to attach a file from within the main tab.

Any chance? ;-)

P.S. The display of the shortcuts list is a very helpful addition for new users, I remember how it took me some time to memorise them when I first started using the script. :)
Switched the minute I saw your announcement. Always excited about this; without your script, the site and posting here would be way less enjoyable.

While I think displaying the shortcuts will help me in finally remembering how to set spoiler tags, I would prefer this feature to be optional. That way it would have a training function of sorts: when you have the shortcuts down, you could turn the display off. I just like things as clean/minimal as possible. It is a minor thing though. As they are shown, the shorcut list looks swell.

Thanks so much for the update and your continuing efforts on this, Barefoot_Monkey!
Very appreciated.
Is there the possibility to edit what shows up under the 'My Account' tab, or a way to set it to the default view? I couldn't find it under the script settings.

I'm really loving the quick post feature. =D I have no idea why I haven't had this installed ages ago! Thank you. =)

I haven't seen this happening before, but I'll keep my eye out and see what I can do if it does end up happening to me. In the meantime, I'll have a native Chrome extension available sometime soonish - maybe that will work better for you.

Since you asked nicely, I'll see what I can do ;) When I get the chance I'll look into how GOG does it.

Thanks. That's a good idea. Maybe I'll add a shortcut key to toggle the hints for the next update.
