It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

HypersomniacLive: Awesome work, as always!

Are you planning on adding back the options to choose which notifications to show next to the account tab?
Thanks

Maybe, if there's demand. But I expect that GOG's developers will add official notifications reasonably soon, so I'm planning to wait and see before spending time on that.
Great job, Barefoot_Monkey +1

Barefoot_Monkey: New feature: option to add GOG Downloader/GOG Connect links to the About menu, as well as remove the GOG Galaxy link if you wish. By default, the new links are added and none are removed.
This is nice. Would you mind also adding a link to gogmix page too?
In one of the tabs, for quick access.
Well... I should have installed this much, much earlier. :) Great work and thanks, Barefoot_Monkey!

Well I'd be really happy to have that option back, to choose which notifications to show. Just letting you know, that there is someone else interested in the feature in addition to HSL ;-)

skeletonbow: Yeah, I got it uninstalled on that browser for now, but it works on Firefox 52 ESR on Linux without any problems so far. Any idea what might cause it to hang the browser between 2.18.1 and 2.18.2?

Barefoot_Monkey: I don't know, but I have some ideas for experiments to find out. You say you removed it successfully on your Windows 7 Firefox? Does that mean you can enable GreaseMonkey again without the browser hanging? And, to clarify, earlier your browser was hanging whenever you had GreaseMonkey enabled ever since BE updated, even if there was no GOG page open in the browser - right?

If GreaseMonkey works for you again then maybe try heading over here and installing BE again to see if the same thing happens as last time. If it does then at least you know how to remove it again. But if it works fine this time I have a suspicion about what might have gone wrong.
With Firefox 53.x on Windows 7 Barefoot 2.18.1 worked, but when I upgraded to 2.18.2 I encountered 2 problems. One is that Barefoot Essentials no longer showed up in the GOG navigation bar anymore anywhere on the GOG site (homepage, forums, etc.), and the second is that opening up Tools->Addons completely hung the browser with a spinning mouse "doing something", requiring me to kill the browser, and reopening it reloaded that page causing it to repeatedly be unusable. I restarted Firefox in safe mode and disabled Greasemonkey, then restarted Firefox and all the pages reloaded including the Addons tab. I re-enabled Greasemonkey in the addons tab which requires a restart to take effect, then I closed the Addons tab as that is what hung the browser. Then I restarted and the browser starts ok and I come to GOG and Barefoot is installed and enabled in Greasemonkey but it does not show up in the navbar menu as before. I can click on Greasemonkey to disable Barefoot.

I do not have this problem at all with Firefox ESR 52.x current release in Linux, Barefoot both works and it shows up in the menu. Incidentally I'm having the same problem with Adalia not showing up in the navbar in Windows with FF 53, but not in Linux with ESR 52 (the menu problem). Adalia's presence does not cause the hang when trying to open up the Addons pane though. Also just for troubleshooting I disabled Adalia so I could test Barefoot by itself and got the same results as described above.

I saw that 2.19.x was released today and installed it from greasyfork but had the same problem as 2.18.2. Testing it in Linux on FF 52 ESR... ... ... and it works. I like the new navbar changes you made, looks sharp with the old original green and yellow GOG logo, and with the Connect/Downloader links in About etc.

Any idea what might cause the hangs when Barefoot 2.18.2 and newer are loaded when opening the Tools->Addons screen? Seems like a strange glitch to say the least, whether it is in Barefoot, Greasemonkey or even something else. :)

Not sure if this will help but Greasemonkey has had an update (it's now 3.11). I had a similar problem before the GM update but am now running Firefox 53.0 plus BE 2.19 and AF 1.7.5 with no problems. Hope this helps.

Same here - another vote for this feature.

Barefoot_Monkey: Version 2.19 is released

- Added new navigation bar theme, "Bright black", which is based on the current dark design but without the stripe and replacing the logo with the original logo from 2008 to brighten things up. This is now the default theme for new users.

- New feature: option to remove Facebook/Twitter/Twitch links from the Community menu. By default, none of these links are removed.

- New feature: option to add GOG Downloader/GOG Connect links to the About menu, as well as remove the GOG Galaxy link if you wish. By default, the new links are added and none are removed.

- New feature: notifications for chat messages and forum replies are restored.
Amazing - thought GOG would finally have fixed it but I guess it takes a real professional to do this ;)
Thank you - amazing work!

Oh, I didn't mean before it's clear if we're getting official notifications back, but after that.

Think I had the update but I retested it just to be sure and still having the same problem. As long as I don't open the Tools-Addons tab the browser doesn't hang though, however Barefoot doesn't actually show up in the menu nor have any functionality show up for me. Adalia doesn't show up in the menu either but it does seem to work. It's a really bizarre problem it seems, moreso if nobody else is encountering it. Alas, I've no clue what could be causing it and the problem does not occur on my browsers in Linux although they are Firefox 52 ESR although I'm not sure if that matters.

I wonder if it's possible that Barefoot and some other addon I have might be interfering with each other on Windows and I don't have the same addon installed in Linux. That can't be ruled out but not easy to test for. If there's a way to download older versions of Barefoot I could try installing that and just disable auto-updates to retain some of the functionality perhaps for now.
Ok the bizarrest thing just happened... I just restarted my browser several times to retest that and it didn't work so I redisabled it and went back to just having Adalia, but Adalia stopped working and vanished from the menus. No hangs in Tools->Addons though either. I decided to try it all again one more time before giving up for now, and after restarting several more times Barefoot showed up in the menu and has started to work now for me and the hang that was happening in Tools->Addons has now stopped for the first time. However... now Adalia doesn't work or show up in the menu any more. LOL

Still the hang in Tools->Addons is gone which was the main stability problem. I suspect there might be some random transient problem happening here that might perhaps just be a local issue, at least if nobody else can reproduce it, and I'm not able to reproduce it on my other browsers so it isn't a shock if nobody else can either. I might end up just having to deal with some randomness until it just goes away on its own when $something updates, or I happen to figure it out myself. :P

The current problem of Adalia not working is something to try to resolve but less of an issue because the browser no longer crashes at least. I'm strongly leaning toward it probably being some weird local issue with my setup now at this point.

That is very odd... do you get any errors along side it not working?

It sounds more like an issue with Greasemonkey, Firefox or some kind of conflict rather than an issue with either script but it's hard to know.

skeletonbow: ...
I agree with Adaliabooks - it definitely sounds like something went wrong with GreaseMonkey itself (or even a different extension) rather than with any of the scripts themselves. The strongest evidence is that Tools->Addons was breaking for you, but nothing that a user script does could cause that because they don't even run on that page. However, the GreaseMonkey extension itself does modify the Addons page.

Something that could provide some insight is the Browser Console. Press Ctrl+Shift+J to open up the Browser Console window. It might be clogged up with messages from other pages, so you can press that little rubbish bin icon in the top-left corner to clear it. Then alt-tab back to a Firefox window with a gog.com page open and refresh the page. Alt-tab back again to the console window and it may now be full of messages. Press Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C to copy everything to your clipboard and then send it to me via chat, and I'll take a look.
