tinyE: Anyone ever been to a show and the band obviously didn't want to be there?

I've had that happen at least three times and it just kills the whole thing.

adaliabooks: Last time I saw the Chili's it was like that... they'd lost all passion, which was a real shame because they are one of my favourite bands and used to be awesome live.

But from what I've seen of their latest stuff and interviews they seem to be back into it again.
I've seen them twice and the 1st time was right when Blood Sugar Sex came out. They played for barely an hour. They started playing Under The Bridge, Anthony came in off key, cut the song off after the second line, and that was it.
I don't think I've ever seen a band live :P I once saw Pavarotti live towards the end of his career but the show was cut short due to rain and/or his health.

Wow. It wasn't quite as bad as that... you could just tell he really wasn't into it, Flea was doing all the talking and they just played the songs and left... but it wasn't long after John had left them and I think that hit him hard...

Yeah, John had just left when I saw them that time too.

The saving grace was they had this unheard of (in the midwest anyway) group opening for them who's first album had just been released three days prior, and they tore the roof off the fucking place!

I can't remember their name unfortunately. It was.....Pearl something.

I am terrible at remembering which artists I have seen live :-( but reading your lists makes several ring bells ('oh, I've seen that one') but now I already forgot again :-D

Madonna was so so. I feel no need to go again
Kraftwerk (twice) were good but both shows were so same, just one song difference, same show despite many years apart
Jean-Michel Jarre was fantastic
The Tiger Lillies (several times) are always amusing
Black Sabbath had me wondering what I was doing there but it was an alright show
Dream Theater was a nice surprise for me as I had never heard (of them) before

I am sure I forgot a bunch of internationally famous artists but my memory is awful.

Haha, oh yeah, I forgot this wasn't the first time he had left...

Nice opening act though, I'd love to see Pearl Jam live.

My biggest regret is not going to see RHCP when they played Slane Castle years ago, the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age (and looking it up now, Feeder too) opened for them.. but it was before I was into any of the other bands and I was quite young, and the friends we were planning to go with dropped out...
Would have been an awesome gig :/
Metallica, at the rocking venue of.... Whitley Bay Ice Arena. Lol.

It was cold....
My feet were frozen from the ice....
Metallica were very late getting on stage....

But, at least it was long before that hideous St.Anger.

snowkatt: none
pretty much all the band i like have disbanded or stopped touring
the only exception are the misfits but i am not interested in the misfits without danzig

and neither the misfits nor danzig are actually all that great live from the footage i have seen

Firebrand9: I've seen both Danzig and Michale Graves (doing a LOT of old Misfits covers) live, and they were both great live. Don't trust crappy cell-phone videos online for what the actual live experience is like.
i dont
but lets say that i listened to evilive once and never again afterwards

tinyE: I never knew Anacrusis made it outside of St. Louis.
Oh, I have no idea if they do. I just know we played them often at the radio station I worked at, especially "I love the world".
2012 - Lacuna Coil, Soulfly, Black Label Society, Machine Head
2013 - Rammstein, Trivium
2014 - Paradise Lost
I've only went to live shows in my home land. However, over the years we did get a nice bunch of high profile artists, as well as some nice indie ones.

I may have forgotten some, but the list is almost complete:

- Michael Jackson 1993 (my first int'l artist)
- Madonna - 1994
- Elton John - 1994
- Peter Gabrial - 1996
- U2 - 1997
- Vaya Con Dios - 2006
- Pink Floyd - 2006
- Blondie - 2007 (celebrating 30 years to "Parallel Lines")
- Sir Paul McCartney - 2008
- Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - 2010
- Blonde Redhead - 2011

also, bought tickets to Mercury Rev, coming to Tel Aviv this summer :)

waiting for Arcade Fire to come to Israel!! pleeeeeeease!!!
