Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Sonic Youth, Pantera, Sepultura, Metallica, Genitorturers, KMFDM, Beastie Boys, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, L7, Hole, The Breeders, Luscious Jackson, Cypress Hill, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sevendust, The Anti Heroes, Portishead, Social Distortion, Reverend Horton Heat, The Muffs...etc...blah blah a couple hundred more local bands or more obscure stuff that most people haven't heard of.

I guess I mean "KYUSS sans Homme" yes (the dick filled a lawsuit against the band). Josh Homme was the reason for the original break-up, being a controlling freak of an asshole, and he then founded Queens of the Stone Age which frankly sucked balls compared to Kyuss, but achieved success anyway. As far as Kyuss Lives! goes, listen to Brant Bjork himself, co-founder of Kyuss (a man which an excellent solo career I might add... only good things Homme ever did after Kyuss was Eagles of Death Metal and he's missing from most of their appearances anyway) and he founded the Desert Sessions (which is a great thing, but not a band per se). Trademark infringement and consumer fraud are accusations used by Josh and Scott to justify why they do not want John and I to continue as a band without them. As for consumer fraud, we had a successful last year performing sold out shows all over the world. Kyuss fans are intelligent, conscious people. If they thought this was consumer fraud, they wouldn't have supported it. Their accusation of consumer fraud a year after our successful tours is very insulting to us and to the fans.

Kyuss (Lives!) kicked ass in 2011 without Homme.

Music's never been that important to me, but I've been to a few cool gigs.

I've seen The Sisters Of Mercy something like 3 times now, they're awesome live. Also Type O Negative, Inkubus Sukkubus, Tura Satana, The Faces Of Sarah...

When I was around six or seven, I remember going to see Jars of Clay perform at our local community college. It was a free event, but we didn't stay for the whole thing. Honestly, I can't remember a single thing about the band itself, which is odd considering I have always liked Jars of Clay.

Last October, my family and I went to see the Gaither Vocal Band. It was absolutely incredible. I guess I acquired my taste for Southern Gospel from my grandparents (who also went with us); it's a taste not shared by most (if any) of my peers, but it's one I love anyway. If they ever come back to my home state, I would really like to see them again.

A Christian rock band; IT BETTER HAVE BEEN FREE!!! :P

I've seen both Danzig and Michale Graves (doing a LOT of old Misfits covers) live, and they were both great live. Don't trust crappy cell-phone videos online for what the actual live experience is like.

Anyone ever been to a show and the band obviously didn't want to be there?

I've had that happen at least three times and it just kills the whole thing.

No but I've been to a show where the band (Nashville Pussy) had every right NOT to want to be there. It was a failed summer festival with several groups playing and the crowd was less than 100 people. Nashville Pussy is a fuckin' AWESOME band and they didn't give a fuck. They played and gave a show like it was for 100 thousand people. They even joked about the turnout before they started playing. Good folk. Good folk.

*Anacrusis. Criminally overlooked band! Very clinical feel to their music. Especially the song "Grateful". Incidentally, Anacrusis means a note that starts before the staff does. Interesting musical term for a band name.

I never knew Anacrusis made it outside of St. Louis.

Last time I saw the Chili's it was like that... they'd lost all passion, which was a real shame because they are one of my favourite bands and used to be awesome live.

But from what I've seen of their latest stuff and interviews they seem to be back into it again.
