The Prodigy - My first, biggest and worst gig. Before it had even started, one guy pissed his pants, and another one almost got beat up by a massive skinhead. For the rest of the night I had to dodge the nearly-beaten guy's ass as he swung it around wildly while holding onto a guard rail. I guess I should've opted for a seat in the stadium's stands.

No clue really, more than 300 shows. Lots of local bands though and many seen several times.

Most memorable ones:
Emperor (one of two reasons i went to Wacken 2006, most impressive concert i've ever seen.)
Celtic Frost (second reason i went to Wacken 2006 ;) )
Camel (drove 600km to see them in Netherlands. Completely worth it, even if Andrew Latimer did vocals on less songs than id have liked. The other guy was good too though)
Opeth (4 times overall.. first was the best though, in a club with maybe 100 people, was pretty good. Blackwater Park tour i think)
Wolves in the throne room (same club, all lit by candles, it was quite atmospheric)
Candlemass (that short episode when Messiah was back. Great show)

Not so much luck with many of the "classics" though, Slayer were shitty as hell when i saw them, Judas Priest were a very sad joke (after Halford came back), Ozzie didn't impress me (Dio and Heaven and Hell did though) and Kiss were mixed at best. Maiden were always good though.

Best missed opportunity:
Cathedral, inexpensive and very close... and everyone was too lazy that day to get up. shortly later they disbanded. Still annoys me.

I presume you mean some universally renowned bands, not any national bands that are unknown in other countries, nor any cheap cover band that plays "Summer of 69" in the local pub every Friday and Saturday, sometimes even on Wednesdays?

If so, frankly the only one I can remember is Lady Gaga several years ago when she visited Finland. I bought two tickets to the concert for a very high price (from a scalper), as a birthday gift to my wife. She liked the gift very much, I used earplugs in the concert.

That's one thing I don't understand, why does everything have to be so damn loud in the concerts? Everyone who attends them will DEFINITELY get some damage to their hearing, if they don't wear any protection. We were not even near to the stage, yet the loudness was deafening.

Of course I presume in Canada (and most other countries) you get much much MUCH more chances to see known bands live, compared to Finland. Damn Pink Floyd! I think they have visited Finland twice or so, and as big fans, me and my friend bought tickets to one of the concerts.

It got cancelled (I don't recall why, maybe David Gilmour saw this video and decided there's no reason to go to Finland anymore), so as a consolation we were offered tickets to see ZZ Top instead. But they cancelled too, so we saw nothing, nix, zilch, nada, ничего!!!

Hundreds, maybe thousands of them. Have seen the levellers 6 times! I suppose my most memorable one was seeing Joe Strummer at Glastonbury the year he died, such a legend.

The one band I didn't see and regret it was nightwish when tarja was part of it.

Concrete Blonde- several times when they visited Australia, plus a Johnette Napolitano solo show as well. Amazing band live and pretty sure Napolitano has been stoned, intoxicated or both at once in every performance I've seen. She seems to play best that way.

Transvision Vamp - me and a mate got there REAL early to make absolutely certain we were at the front center of the stage so we could look up Wendy James' skirt. Hey, we were only 19, what you expect? Anyway, it was dark and couldn't see anything anyway.

Hoodoo Gurus - one of Australia most awesome performers live.

The Mark of Cain- from my time in Adelaide. Brilliant hardcore rock band.

Helmet- similar to The Mark of Cain, but American.

Choir Boys- Australian band that had their day in the early 90's.

Chunky Custard- Adelaide based Led Zeppelin cover band, saw them quite a few times when I lived there.

Frente- they were support act for Concrete Blonde I think it was.

Frenzal Rhomb- Australian softish Punk Rock style.

Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

My top list of bands I want to come to Australia to see: Appocalyptica from Finland, Therion from Sweden. Unfortunately Euro bands tend to see my country as a back water that's barely worth the cost of coming here.
