Is that really a thing? I know that people whine hard on this but actually doing something?

Anyway - I still find it weird that GOG is part of CD Projekt who made translations for a lot of old games yet most of these translations are not available here (like Gorky 17, Larry 7, Bard's Tale or Dungeon Keeper 2).

Heck, I live in a country that was on the "bad side of Iron Curtain" and had to learn english or vast majority of games would be unplayable. That was decades before Duolingo and english lessons in schools (the proper one, most of them sucked in the beginning).

I know, I still have the german and english DVD. If you want to tell that to people, that's ok. But is it a reason for a bad review?
One really should review what he gets and that's the game in english and french. Are these bad games? Is anything about these 2 localizations bad?

Remember the release of Monkey Island 3? German was missing on GoG, it was added some weeks later. The same happened to a number of other games. GoG does not always get the rights or files to every language instantly. So even IF someone thinks that a language not offered on GoG makes the game worse, he really should give it some time.

That IS strange indeed. I wonder who owns the rights to these game versions.

Well - posting a bad review is simply wrong since it never was part of the package. I created a support ticket about this issue and got this reply today:

"Hello,
It is indeed in our interest, and we are looking into the problem and trying to resolve it for both Russian and German versions."

I also contacted the publisher Focus using Twitter and their homepage. Imo THAT is the correct way to handle such things. A bad review is only scaring people away from a game that is just as described.
Info on broken features should be part of a review - don't you think?

Copyright nightmares. While CDP has the rights to the localization, they don't have the rights to the game itself, so applying the language is not possible unless the original developer agrees to it.
