Like promised i finally finished Resonance and i'm not going to lie, there was some parts that i used a guide because i was completly lost, the fact that there's more than one character and diverse items makes it really hard to understand where to go or what to do, there would have to be a lot of trial and error... The story was great and now i have to wait a few days so that my friend returns from his holidays since he finished the game and was pestering me to finish it so we could discuss it. Now off to youtube to search for the credits music...

OK then. Realms of the Haunting, it is.

By the way, you might want to register here.

Not so fast future cat, 22h33 over here so it's still 2015 for me. :P

Tomorrow i'll register... uhm... i actually never "registered", just posted on those threads, so that will be my new year resolution.
Of note, nobody suggested a game from the backlog I posted earlier in this topic.

Well, you picked a game that the person didn't had and you didn't actually posted a list... so...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not going to post a real backlog, I'm just offering a choice between two games:

Baldur's Gate EE
Final Fantasy 4

I played the BGEE tutorial on my tablet, but I'm not sure whether to play the full game or try FF4. What's your opinion? Considering that I don't play a lot, BG sounds a little daunting, due to its length.

Grargar: Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
This is the only game I finished from your list, so I'm voting for it.

Cyraxpt: Sanitarium
Same reason.
avatar
Starmaker: Broken Age
Haven't played anything from the list, but this one I'd like to play. Unfortunately it's not compatible with my tablet.

avatar
Matewis: Grim Fandengo (got quite far but stopped playing)
Then finish it already.

dtgreene: For purposes of this post, my backlog consists of every SSI AD&D game available on this website except for Dungeon Hack.
Eye of the Beholder.

Since you don't play a lot, I'd recommend that you go with Final Fantasy IV, as it requires less dedication than Baldur's Gate.

Thanks. Started playing it. Seems okay except for the battle system, which I don't like. Seems like the main skill involved is learning how to select things quickly. At least there's an option to make combat slower, which I think I'll use.

There should also be an option called battle mode (at least there is one in the GBA version) and offers a choice between "wait" and "active". By selecting "wait", the game will pause while you're perusing one of the command menus (magic, items, etc.)

Sanitarium off the list, i guess there's no list for me to pick but i'm posting mine that was updated:

Divinity OS
Might and Magic X
Underrail
Wasteland 2
Way of the Samurai 4
Stasis
Pillars of Eternity
Technobabylon
Dead State
Xenonauts
Lost Planet 3
Project Eden
Divinity: Dragon Commander
Elliot Quest
Dead Synchronicity
I had a short detour with Bertram Fiddle, which I enjoyed quite a bit. Now back to FF4. Read a tip that grinding is the way to go to make things easier, using random encounters in an easy area to up the character levels, so I'm doing that.

Combat still seems to move while I'm trying to select things, even though the option is set correctly, but I slowed it down, and I figure that I could soon venture forth and survive (I will survive, yeah yeah).

Any way to turn off the auto potion consumption that I assigned to the character? It's eating potions unnecessarily.

It looks like you've played 2 different types of games, let's keep it different and I say you play:

Wasteland 2 - do you have the DC? play that if so

I usually play multiple games at a time, but I will participate here and really really focus on the 1 chosen for me, if there is. I don't like the term back-log. It has negative connotation. I consider my collection of games a library/catalogue to be gone to at will through life, just like my movie and book collections. It's not some burdensome thing to be gotten through, but a treasure trove of art and entertainment. Here are my main bunch, pick one, and I'll stick with it:

Wasteland 2 - DC
Star Wars: X-Wing
Shelter
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
Nox
Red Faction

I was actually going to ask for a different genre since i played 2 adventures so thank you for taking that in consideration and Wasteland 2 DC will be.

Uhm, that was not my intention, what i'm looking to do is to regulate better the games that i buy and those that i actually play, i kept adding new games and never actually play them, sure, it's cool to have them in my collection but it weights on my conscience that i wasted money and i didn't play them. At least now i can say that i have them AND played them,

If in the next 3 days no one joins (or finish their game) i'll pick the game for you since i haven't picked one yet.

Cyraxpt: ...
Yeah, understandable.

I personally never acquire a game unless I am absolutely certain I want to play it someday. It has to be a "definite yes" before I get a game.

W2 has a lot to it. Depending on how you like to play RPGs, I highly recommend looking at a guide, figuring out what followers you may want to have, if any, and tailoring your starting 4 rangers' skills around that. Character creation is pretty elaborate, and possibly confusing too. I am willing to give lots of input about it all if you like.
