j0ekerr: I guess what I miss, is the community. The metagame about speculating what would come next.

Also during insomnia, some of the most popular, new releases did disappear in minutes, you had to be on your toes, or coordinate with other people. That was fun. And then, there was the NotNox incident.
I'm with you. The community during the old-days was fantastic. Those were some great times ....

Ancient-Red-Dragon: The statement on the main page which says "Tardy For A Flash Deal? All Games Are Back!" is highly misleading. That statement gives the reader the impression that they are all back at the same prices as they were in the flash sale. But actually, they aren't. They shouldn't say misleading things like that.
A pretty underhanded tactic, no doubt. I get the feeling that in the collective mind of GOG's marketing department the belief is that "Well, they missed it anyway - how would they know they aren't getting the better deals?"

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Likewise, they shouldn't be jacking up the prices for the "finale" of the sale. They did the same thing with the last flash sale too. Finales are supposed to be better - not worse - than what came before them.
I remember I used to leave all purchases to the final days and wondered why they make the sales so long if everyone can do that. Sales were not spread out, and I suppose I did not spend as much money due to that: I enforced a budget.
The only thing bad that came out of that was the Torchlight II that appeared with an incorrect price and was taken out of the list before I purchased it.

It appears this became a common behaviour and GOG is taking steps to avoid that.
Three titles in the "notable" section are not even discounted.

So many glitches these days...

I thought it was suggested games related to my wishlist/store browsing regarless of sales.

CalicoPup: One of the ones I missed dropped from 50% off to 10% off.

LynetteC: Black Mirror by any chance? Yeah, me too!
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition.

The other one I wanted was Yono and the Celestial Elephants which dropped from 35% off down to 25%.
Dragon Age changed as well, hopefully it's a mistake.

That's not right. :))

At least now, if I ever produce a porno movie, I know what I'll insist on calling it.

Wow, I didn't think that many games would have had such a big drop in discount. 10-15% maybe, but 40%?! That's poor and it's lost them at least one customer in this sale. I was waiting until I had cash to put in the bank to replace what I spend. Guess I'll stick it in my savings instead!

Not a mistake, just the result of it no longer being a flash deal. Same as all the others mentioned here, though indeed discount reductions of more than 10% or so are quite... unwise on their part.
I'm looking for a discount with Dead Cells and Divinity Original Sin 2. These are recent games, so do you think they have a chance to be on sale during an eventual 10th anniversary event or should I stop waiting ?

I noticed that myself. From 50% off to 10% is laughable for a game that's been around for awhile already. May as well have just got rid of the discount entirely. The rather shady discount changes that have been happening here and there on gog lately is getting old.

I've always kinda wondered who sets game prices and why games for consoles with physical media fall over time while games that are entirely digital with release dates 7-8 years ago are still at the $20 price point when the price that they're on sale for more reflect the actual price that the game should be listed at.

Publishers have the final say in the pricing of digital copies. Physical ones can be treated like any other physical product though, so each step on the distribution chain buys the copy at one price from the step before them and sells it to the one after them, usually at a higher one. But some may decide to sell at a loss in order to still get something on products they risk needing to throw away otherwise, such as those likely to get damaged, or to get so old that the disks may lose data, or get to the point that the version on disk may not even install anymore, or be unable to update, on a current OS for PC games, or be for a generation that's dying out in case of console ones. Even in case of packages that are little more than keys to download the game, or some additional content which should be included, off an on-line service this may happen, if those keys may stop working or the service may shut down or for some other reason become unavailable in a near future. And this is how sometimes you may find physical copies for a fraction of the price of a stream of bits...
