Ok...well the game installed and after a few 'compatibility issues' when I start the game, these things happen.

1) My mouse will move and the game icon sits on the taskbar. When I click it, nothing happens...in fact none of my buttons will open up anything until I press Alt+Tab a couple of times, then I am able to interact with the game icon.

2) When I finally manage to get the play 'area' to show all the buttons etc, if I need to shrink the game by CTrl+Alt+Del or Alt+Tab, the graphics resume to large and I can only just see the two switches at the bottom and not all the menu at the top.

3) It always leaves behind a 'Game.exe' icon in the hidden icons. If I open the game again, subsequent Game.exe icons are created.

I have not yet flown a single mission because of the above faults. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, repaired the game and nothing changes.

I am running a 32" TV as my monitor through HDML (new VGA cable is on order). My native display settings are 1080x1920. As I can't see the tiny icons/text on desktop/web, I sete my display to 1360x786. S/shot of main menu on game is attached.

Thanks

Are you running the game in or out of Galaxy? I ask because skimming some of the threads in that game's subforum, that seems to be the cause of many of the issues:

Sorry you are having trouble but Olivia Newton-John once asked me to please don't play B-17 so I'm no help on this issue.

several questions:
What OS are you running? windows 10? windows 7, windows 8, linux, snow lepord, etc
have you tried running the game in compatability mode?
what version of direct X are you trying to run it on?
is this the ONLY game that is having this issue?

OS = 10,
Direct X is 12
Done compatability - the game runs for now I just did a loooooong mission (didn't realise you could skip time). I had to dabble with my NVIDIA settings as well as those in Windows. I have now put the screen rez back as I like it and I will be checking the gameplay with Ron (later-ron)

I have other 'oldie games' which use joysticks...IL 2 had some j/stick input issues, but that is fixed now. I also run Thief Gold, Dark Shadows and Metal age with no probs whatsoever.

Snow leopard...really??? Hahaha...

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and offer good support

*sigh*

I ask again if you're running the game inside Galaxy because it seems like from skimming the previous threads this is one of those games that doesn't like running within Galaxy. There are some games here that have never worked well within Galaxy and from reading the previous threads, this appears to be one of them.

The name of one version of OSX, used on MacIntosh computers.
