Awesome piece of work from KasperHviid!
Sam's hat down.

zeogold: Speaking of which, I really need to get myself a new avatar.

grimwerk: Believe it or not, I was sketching potential ideas this morning. My preferred scratchy style doesn't scale down very well. Still, attached is a placeholder if you want it. You're probably best waiting for Crewdroog!

edit:
Aniki's avatar was actually part of an enormous puzzle that took Austrobogulator and me days to crack. So that's a possibility, too.
No, this avatar is perfect, I wouldn't have thought of something half as good!

grimwerk: Excellent image! I totally understand how seemingly sparse line art can take a deceptively long time. I find making it myself almost laborious.

Your pic needs to be huge, 6 feet square, I think. It's like the pop art I'd expect to see on a wealthy drug dealer's wall in an episode of Miami Vice. My wife is from Miami, maybe she'd let me put one up here. With your permisssion, of course! I could tell her it's Billy Idol.

I recognized Catpower1980 immediately. I need to think about the second avatar. It will come to me!
Man, you are kind, it's nothing special (looking at Kasper's) but I had fun with it. Thanks for the occasion again. Haha, if you really put this up in your home, I wanna see a pic of that! And no copyfright here, go nuts if you like :)

Crewdroog: no way, chevkov's was fun, I was trying hard to figure out which ones he used :)
Thanks for finding it fun :)

grimwerk: I'm so often intentionally daft during other giveaways that I can't help but laugh at yours, Yog. Context is key! You've broken my perhaps tiresome rules, of course, but the result fits together really well. Do you know what agentcarr16's function is? (I could probably have worded that question better.)
You knew I would have to break the rules. It was pretty much a given.

And agent's function is as my office window. :) Plus I now have a nice Lifthrasil toy Goro on my monitor.

I'm still interested to see what you come up with nevertheless!
For some reason zeo's new avatar reminds me of "Fantastic Planet"

Great, now that I've learned about it/looked it up, I won't be able to keep myself from watching it despite how it'll undoubtedly feel like I'm on LSD the whole time. Thanks a lot.
Although it does look like quite impressive drawing/animation though.
That reminds me, I still want to finish watching Yellow Submarine. I would ask if anybody knows a place where I can find the full thing, but that'd probably derail the thread, so I'll ask elsewhere.
Ahoy, bunch. We have another kind donation, this time from Gnostic. It's a GOG code which contains the recently lost (dreadful sorry, Clementine) Duke Nukem games:

DUKE NUKEM 3D ATOMIC EDITION
DUKE NUKEM: MANHATTAN PROJECT
DUKE NUKEM 1+2
BALLS OF STEEL

I think it would be cool if this code was awarded based on some special criteria. Alas, I am sluggish and haven't come up with a good basis for judgment yet. I'm open to suggestions!

Wholehearted thanks, Gnostic!

Why not copy the idea from my giveaway and let there be a community-voted prize?

Strange and marvelous, miko! Is there an intent to this unusual whole, or is it pure Frankenstein? You draw as I do, in many respects. Except you use a straightedge. Are you practiced enough to do so quickly? I certainly can't, though I should.

Also, Mobutu's avatar is finally revealed to me, thanks. I could never make it out before. Do you know its source?

I like these ambitious multi-user conglomerations. Heck, I like everything at this point.

haha I asked for that answer, I suppose.

Greyscale goglodytes beware, lest ye be absorbed by yog's Borg-like avatar! Your intent makes me grin.

Nifty! I have a friend who works with particle accelerators. I'll ask him if he's ever seen that symbol in the wild.

edit:
His response: I should get tramp stamp tattoo with that symbol
