Fairfox: I used cw8's avatar of Sam (from Sam & Max)! It started to get a bit too violent for my taste so I prettied it up.
Aha, so it's cw8's avatar and I see your own in there, too! It's an excellent first submission, and a total sneak attack on my kids' interests! Funnily enough, I myself stuck a unicorn drawing in my son's lunch today. Your own post prompted me to put it in Zeo's thread so you can see the coincidence:

In any case, handsomely done. I totally recognize both components!

(Note that you don't have to use your own avatar. Else I'd be stuck with something like very old cheese, myself.)

As requested, I took two goglodyte avatars --- specifically that of and that of [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/movie_streaming_gone/post1]Fesin --- and imagined the outcome of combining them. The result, I believe, well captures the unmistakable inherent qualities of the two source avatars while adding a soupcon of imagination to the cauldron.

P.S. I really enjoyed making this, probably my first drawing in possibly thirty or more years. Cheers.

Took Heisenberg from 's avatar and tried to mix it with [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/felices_reyes_magos/post10]tinyE's avatar, ended up with Heisenberg with green bacon strips attached to his chin though.

Thanks for the giveaway and sorry about any damage which may be caused by my work of "art". :P

I feel like something similar to that should be my avatar. I should make something trippy like that, one of these days.
I like the idea very much and eagerly anticipate to see all the results. :)
someone please use the movie as theme :)
Not in, but you may use my avatar if you want. (It's really just the output of a simple computer program that any decent programmer could write easily, and is even sometimes used as an example or exercise.)

(Of note, maybe you could write your own program that somehow combines the Mandelbrot Set with someone else's avatar, preferably in an interesting manner.)

By the way, if you actually do decide to use my avatar in this contest, it would be nice if you would post it as a reply to this post so I can see what you came up with.

If somebody uses this nerd's avatar, throw some puzzle pieces in there to represent me. It would be one awesome combination.
In fact, if anybody wants to reference me in this competition, I request that you use some sort of puzzle pieces/reference to puzzles rather than the Sam avatar. Only reason I'm using it is because I haven't got a better one at the moment.

Sounds like fun. I'll leave this here as a placeholder, and also to remind myself of what I should be doing ;-P

This is a pleasure to hear. As I was typing out the first post, I did wonder who would use Austrobogulator's and what they'd do with it! The result is unexpected and satisfying. I'm wondering about the secret history of your crayons.

I bought them when I began writing my novel, planning to use different crayon colours to mark different chapters, characters, themes, etc. in my design notebooks for easier reference. Never used them (used a numbering system instead).

Hunter65536: Heisenberg with green bacon strips
hahaha
Tasty description. TinyE's avatar seems like a magic ingredient. I used it myself a few days ago! And Heisenberg is super iconic. Well done.

I'm not in but go ahead and use mine, though I should warn you I ripped it off of another site.

I suspected it would be quirky like that. Like one of those quick and curious little personal facts from the film Amelie. I'm strangely content, thanks.

Was trying to combine your avatar with mrkgano, but it looks ugly. I learned something very interesting about yours, though, lol. I thought it was a fishhook in that poor chap's eye, not a goglin. :)
