ReynardFox: So for some reason, both of my regular browsers tell me i've already claimed this game and I never clicked anything, nor is it magically in my account. I don't even get the option to claim it. What gives?

eiii: We do not get a gift code anymore when we already own the game now?

I've claimed the giveaway. It has changed my user settings and tells me now "Whispering Willows was added to your library". But the game has not been added to my library as I already had owned it before. And I neither see an order in my order list nor did I get an email with a gift code.
Same here...I owned the deluxe version and figured i'd claim the giveaway to hand out the extra code but no dice :|

g2222: That's a bummer because that means no extra keys for community giveaways anymore either. :-(
My guess is they (gog) are trying to get everyone to start claiming codes from Amazon/etc instead :\

Thanks, a lot friends, for this nice, free game <3
∑(O_O;) An amulet to explore beyond physical limitations? Yes, please!
GOG, thank you for the game! In the early Autumn weather, I wish you good health~
Thanks, GOG! Nice gift.

I've already played the game. I liked the idea and atmosphere, but the gameplay wasn't great, especially if you're determined to complete it :D
Thanks for the free game

I don't own the game, and have no way to claim the giveaway, it just says I already have it, which I don't.

This is the second time i've had this happen here.

ReynardFox, greetings. I have sent you a private message regarding the usage of https://www.gog.com/giveaway/claim (which should allow for the bypassing of the problems associated with the error-prone main page giveaway).

For others: the idea is to visit the aforementioned link (multiple times, if necessary) until visualizing the expected output of: {"message":"Already claimed"} -- at this point, without notification, the game should now be present within your GOG library. If not, please, attempt to visit:
https://www.gog.com/user/refresh
or
https://www.gog.com/account/refresh

Side note to GOG staff: please, on the main page, just below 'Success! Whispering Willows was added to your library. You can manage your consents in Privacy & settings section of your GOG account.', would you be so kind as to add a short message directing users to the direct claim link. In the past, I, too, have experienced the same issue that ReynardFox had faced.

gixgox: Danke schön :)

Doc0075: Welcome back, not seen you here in a long time.
Hello, and thanks for your kind words.
The way back was long and a little bumpy, but an old gamer will always try to solve a puzzle.
I'm glad to see, that you are still barking at trees. ;)

I also can not claim it and I tried all the things mentioned. On my first visit I succeeded (or so I thought) but I didn't get it in my library. The main page said that I claimed it. I saw a pending order for 0$ in my order history and when trying to complete it, it showed a checkout page with a price. Then after refreshing user and account the order disappeared and it still says I claimed it (also does so in the direct claim link). Weird.
I also cannot seem to claim the game. I get the "'Success! Whispering Willows was added to your library." message on the front page, but the game does not appear in my library.

Visiting https://www.gog.com/giveaway/claim yields "Already claimed" and refreshing my account does nothing.

Edit: After "refreshing" my account it seems the number of games in my library has decreased by 2...not sure if there is a correlation. Anyone? In any case, I have contacted support.

maxleod: I alreaydy owned the game, why didn't I receive a key when I claimed the giveaway?
Is there anyone who already had owned the game before the giveaway and has gotten a gift code from the giveaway?

@GOG: Could you please clarify if this is an intentional change to not give out gift codes anymore or just yet another technical issue that we do not get gift codes?

I already had the game, and no, I did not receive a gift code. This must be something new, as I normally receive gift codes...
Thank you GOG!
Taking a look at the sale. I purchased Dying Light: Definitive Edition and it's not showing as owned. Is that normal?

GOG considers it normal:
"Designations like Special Edition, Platinum Edition or similar are usually not
displayed in the library, which is intentional and connected to our product
configurations. Dying Light: Definitive Edition is the name of the bundle which
includes several individual products."

I consider it one of the most annoying bugs in GOG's shop which, together with the lack of a "not interested" option, makes browsing sales frustrating.
